On Mother's Day, La Sen will only be offering the Dinner Menu and Special Menu all day.

La Sen Bistro in Walnut Creek is serving the parallel French-California classic samples of duck confit, rack of lamb, escargot, beef bourguignon and mussels - just to name a few. These great samples were recognized by the Diablo Magazine, San Francisco Chronicles, Contra Costa Times and San Jose Mercury News. In addition, these samples were also recognized by the Michelin Guide in 2007, 2010, 2011, and 2012.

It was my friend Judi’s birthday and there were 3 of us and we all had the duck confit and it was wonderful! One of my favorite dishes and in one of my favorite restaurants!

Nice birthday dinner. Roquefort Salad was good, Scallops and Boeuf Bourguignon were excellent, Profiteroles were ok, the pastry was tough but the fruit on the plate was ripe and tasty. We'll be back.

Delicious food, wonderful service, great ambience! Three of us went for a birthday lunch and they offered to let us order from the dinner menu. Everything was delicious, even the leftovers the next day. We can't wait to return again and again to try the whole menu!

Excellent French food. The appetizer portion of calamari was very large and tasty. The mussels were very plump and the cream pastis sauce with fennel was classic. They came with a large portion of crisp garlic fries. Prices were reasonable. Service was very good. It was pleasant to be in a restaurant where you could talk and be heard without raising your voice.

The food was fantastic and Claire was a wonderful server. We were there towards the end of evening and they were gracious and let us enjoy our dessert.

This is definitely one of my go to places! The service is friendly and attentive! The owner of this establishment is very sweet and friendly. My favorite is the duck breast made to perfection. My husband had the puff pastry with shrimp and it is delicious! We have tried several dishes and it is always delicious. I have brought many of friends and family here and they all love it. I saw a comment on one of the reviews about the service and the owner not caring for Asians?!? It puzzled me since I am Asian and several friends and family members and have never experienced that. I suggest to try again as that is not what I have ever witnessed.

One of our favorite restaurants for ambiance and food. We always are served fantastic food and wine. The salads, soups, entrees and desserts are all delicious.

We are return customers for over 10 years. Our experiences are always extremely pleasant. I’m sorry for “Karen’s “ unfortunate night but encourage her to give it another try. Food and services always exceptional.
