    Our Valentine's Day dinner at Wally's Desert Turtle was our first visit there and we were not disappointed - everything was fantastic! The pricing is high... but it's totally worth it, especially for special occasions. I had a filet mignon, my wife had the lamb, and both were delicious; the zucchini with toasted almond soup was incredible and the deserts were out of this world. In general, service was excellent, but the delivery of cocktails was a bit slow - understandable perhaps, because the place was packed! This is now one of our top five favorite restaurants in the entire Palm Springs area, and we will be back again for certain!

    I ordered the Dover sole. It was served on a screaming hot plate. The plate ended up overcooking the fish. The zucchini soup and beet salad were excellent. Wine by the glass choices were very good. The desserts were rather non descript.

    The service was impeccable as always, the food was delicious, and the ambiance amazing. The serving sizes were perfect. I highly recommend Wally’s to anyone looking for a delicious, upscale dinner in a restaurant with a classic Rancho Mirage vibe. A special shout out for the special Valentines Day desserts…..So beautiful and so yummy. The cappuccino with them made them the perfect finish for the evening!!!

    Wally’s did not disappoint us. Our dinner was delicious and the service was what you would expect from this caliber of restaurant. My only issue I had was with the 3 1/2 % service charge added to our bill. This was to enhance the tips given to those who work for tips. Other than that, I would recommend the restaurant to friends, but I would let them know to be prepared to see the upcharge on their bill.

    Our favorite dining experience in Rancho Mirage/ Palm Desert area - always - with great friends. Ambience is always warm and welcome, service is thoughtful, timely and impeccable, the food is beautifully presented and even better and the most delicious to devour. Desserts - in particular - we love your soufflés! Also nice is the music and the saxophone player. Topped off by getting to meet third-generation owner, Madeleine. What a super star who has kept Wally’s excellent dining experience going. We very much enjoyed Madeleine taking the time to come introduce herself and spend time with us — sharing even more family history. Thank you! The Bucks

    First time at the 'Turtle'. Wonderful experience. Terrific cocktails... Salad was tasty... Scallops and Short rib were first rate... and then a bananas foster soufflé... Not much to complain about! And a lovely lounge singer to boot. Isn't this what desert living should be? We will be back.

    Really pretty and unique place. We went there for date and loved it. We would definitely go back. The food is great and the service is unmatched. They anticipate your needs so you aren’t having to constantly ask for things. We got the filet, the short ribs, the mushroom soup, and the chocolate soufflé. All were delicious!

    We were there for our anniversary. The ambiance, service, food were excellent. I would say the best in south California. I had an appetizer of tuna tartar. It was prepared quite differently than I was used to. And it was mind blowing delicious. My wife had the endive salad and its dressing was excellent. Mains (Short Ribs and Rack of Lamb) were done perfectly. This is clearly a restaurant with an excellent and creative chef. We will be back.

    Outstanding evening dinner! Madeline is doing a great job keeping up the reputation and quality of the restaurant. Food, service and the room with music was fabulous and enjoyable. Can’t wait to return. Fair value too!
