Welcome to Waikiki Shokudo, the newest addition to the Shokudo family! As the third restaurant under the Shokudo brand, joining Shokudo Japanese and Kaimuki Shokudo, we're thrilled to bring our unique touch to the heart of Waikiki.

The tuna roll was great! But everything else was so so. We tried the miso butterfish, chicken wings, sashimi peppers and eggplant, Small and can be loud depending on the other tables around you.

お料理はまあまあでした。ハッピーアワードリンクメニューに、ビールとワインが無いのが残念。それと、メニューに載っていた日本酒のボトルを頼んだら、呑みたかった日本酒２つ共ボトル無く、グラスでしか頼めなかった。メニューに掲載しているなら、ちゃんと在庫確保しておいてものです。全般的には良いお店だと思います。

Excellent Japanese food with a wonderful staff. Dishes are interestingly different from some of the more typical Waikiki Japanese options, yet draw upon classic flavors and ingredients. Some of their menu was not available because their fryer wasn't working, but there were still many superb dishes to select from. We left full and the cost, even with alcohol, was very modest. Highly recommend.

料理の味はすべて美味しかったです。ただフライヤーが故障していつ揚げ物ができないといわれ、唐揚げや、カニクリームコロッケなど食べたかったものが食べられなくて残念でした。スタッフの女の子がニコニコしていて、愛嬌が良くてとても雰囲気良かったです

昨春に続き、2度目の利用です。以前はオープンテーブルでの予約は無かったです。食事はどれも美味しく、サービスもそこそこ良かったですが、レセプションの人がいまいちでした。12月31日で忙しかったからでしょうか。何だかそっけない態度でした。前回は、結構日本の音楽がかかっていた記憶がありますが、今回は無かったので、日本ぽい雰囲気はあまりなく残念でした。

Great food. Would return. I didn’t love that Open Table limited us to a bar reservation when there were plenty of open tables throughout our meal. We were sat at the bar right against a grimy wall that I didn’t love when the rest of the bar was wide open except one other couple that came later. The bathroom was dirty, which didn’t inspire confidence. Service was good. Good was fun. But building needs to address some maintenance issues, including some basic paint and cleaning.

Excellent, friendly, and speedy service. Liked the happy hour specials. The hamachi carpaccio was very memorable, and the other dishes we ordered were otherwise well executed standard izakaya fare.

Everything we ate was delicious. Service was friendly and helpful. It was a great spot for our family of three. Everyone agreed it was our best meal on this trip and we’re looking forward to going back.

Our family loved this place. We re so happy to found this place early in our trip. Service was attentive and efficient . Food came out fast and delicious. Everyone in our family had favorites . Authentic and a hidden gem.
