Located directly south of The Shanty restaurant, on the southeast corner of Wadsworth Road & US Highway 41 in Wadsworth, IL - Wadsworth Inn is open 7 nights a week starting at 4 pm and offers a cozy rustic ambiance for dining, bar service, and private events. We also feature upstairs outdoor balcony seating with picturesque views of the forest preserve. The menu offers recipes crafted from locally sourced fresh vegetables/herbs from neighborhood farms, creative dishes, timeless comfort food entrees prepared in cast iron, creative takes on fresh seafood & premium aged steaks. The food and service was outstanding! There were 4 in our party and we all decided to try the chef's special. We were all extremely happy with the meal. It was nice to be able to eat casually and enjoy the conversation that we were having. We never felt rushed. Our server was totally attentitive to our needs. We will return soon.

Food and service, as always, EXCEPTIONAL! There was a party taking place upstairs and the noice/rumbling was extremely loud as tho there was roof work being done. Should have been made aware ahead of time as there was non-stop pounding sound from the children running back-n-forth. We have no problems with families and children, and we have no problems when there is a party taking place, but this was disrespectful to those of us trying to enjoy a dinner in the main area of the restaurant

Excellent food and service! Loved the rustic ambiance and great view of wooded area. Arugula and Wedge Salads were very fresh and filling. Grilled Branzino and Prime Rib were fantastic, well-seasoned and flavorful. Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake was divine.

The Wadsworth Inn is a great place for Friday Fish Fry and any of their delicious meals. Summer time is great as the outdoor seating is available. Always delightful servers and great vibe. Our Friday night “go to”

1 person at our table got their food 15 minutes later than the rest of us. And then it was not correct. Our drinks went empty several times. The food was just okay for the price. We were very disappointed.

First time, took the trip up from close to Chicago as I usually make it for the Shanty. Heard that the good people of the Shanty were behind this restaurant and looked at the menu, and it was a no brainer. Did not disappoint, as expected we received high quality food and service without the high price. Definitely look forward to returning to try more menu items. Had the beef Wellington this time. Soup (lobster bisque) came with it and my wife had lobster rolls; those were amazing. Better than I’ve had anywhere. Drinks were generous. I’ll be back!!!!
