As huge Masterchef Australia fans visiting Australia from Scotland we decided we had to treat ourselves to a meal at Vue de Monde. And goodness me but it didn’t disappoint. From the minute we walked in until we left we felt welcomed and made to feel special. Staff were attentive, warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is beautiful and the view is pretty spectacular. And then there was the food. Oh my, what can we say. Native produce handled with respect, beautifully prepared and presented exquisitely. We went with the matching wine flight which only enhanced our overall experience. Each wine pairing was explained beautifully to us. The afternoon was made even more special with a tour of the kitchen by Executive Chef Hugh Allen. Hugh chatted with us, explained the working of the kitchen and introduced us to his fabulous team. He also asked us about our time in Australia. We couldn’t fault our time at Vue de Monde and would 100% recommend a visit. Our favourite was the smoked eel…no it was the marron…no it was the onion, oh and the damper….oh my, the damper….oh and the butter…or maybe the kangaroo hot pot…but then there was the wagu…my husband adored the cheese board and even managed to convert me to blue cheese..as long as it is on fruit bread and smothered in honeycomb.. not being a cheese fan I had the alternative offering of coconut sorbet and coconut granita..heavenly…we moved on to dessert and no wonder the chocolate soufflé has been on the menu forever. It is like eating a chocolate cloud….and the Billy tea ice cream is also incredible. Thank you team Vue de Monde for a fabulous afternoon

Not our first fine dining experience but definitely our best! We came for our sons 21st birthday and absolutely loved the whole experience. Front of House staff were outstanding and the kitchen staff had a serene intensity and focus that was both impressive and beautiful to watch…true artists at work! Without a doubt the food is worth every dollar, a true adventure for the palate. Everything was simply beautiful. We even had Hugh take us on our kitchen tour, he is a wonderful young man and was charming. A evening full of highlights.

We thoroughly enjoyed our night I was given the night as a gift for my 60th Birthday. Would Highly Recommend this experience to anyone looking for something very special & the food was Amazing

Vue De Monde was recommended to me by a close friend as a must have experience if one plans to travel to Melbourne and it is absolutely true. Every dish is crafted with the utmost dedication and perfection that is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.

Exceptional food, prepared, cooked and served beyond any expectations. I have dined in many establishments around the world but this was by far next level. I’d recommend Vue de Monde to any friend. ( enemies can dine elsewhere)
