VU Rooftop is a 13,000 square foot concept located 22 stories high next door to McCormick Place. Here, you can enjoy an ingredient-driven beverage program, a top-notch culinary experience and unparalleled views of the Lake and Downtown within a modern designed space. VU is a year-round rooftop with outdoor terraces and enclosed spaces. Outdoor seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to weather or limited availability, seating may be indoors.

Great place to hang out! Great music.. only negative thing i can say is that they need a better food menu

Has the worst chairs. Decent place if you can get a couch-sitting which is only for large parties. The view is beautiful. The food was basic drinks were good though. Service was worth $5 tip

We had a reservation for 8pm on 9/14. Arrived there and was told they closing at 9pm because of last minute private event. So we was told we had 1 hr then we had to leave but we sat at the bar top and the bartender took care of us and made it to where we didn't have to leave till 10...Next time they should call people ahead of time if someone books a private event last minute. Had the bartender not looked out for us we would've drove a hour just to turn back around&go back home. We was looking forward to hanging out at VU rooftop for way longer...Maybe next time. Shoutout to the bartender, can't remember her name but she saved the night

There were no fried food options for people with shellfish allergies, which limited our selections from the already limited menu. This dampened our evening, but we made the best of it, and our waitress worked really hard to ensure that we still enjoyed ourselves.

We decided to eat here as a birthday dinner for my best friend prior to attending the Deon Cole comedy show at Wintrust. It was a great choice to be near the venue. The food choices were good. We tried the focaccia bread, the corn fritters, Chicago hot chicken and the salmon succotash. All the food was delicious. The one thing we didn't enjoy was how slow the service was. There were only 2 of us dining but all of our food came out separately so one person was almost done by the time the rest came. We also had to wait long periods to get our wine. We didn't order any specialty cocktails but service was just very slow. The ambiance and great attitude of the server helped a bit. I would definitely recommend a visit but probably not on a Saturday evening before a show.

The food was bland or a little lower than okay. The drinks were fine except the sweet ones they were to sweet. And we get there before the rush and couldn’t get a seat near the window while it was practically empty. Clean yes , bathrooms cool looking

All of the food we had was amazing. Everything was so fresh and cooked to perfect. The rooftop view was perfect. Our server was very accommodating. He had read on our reservation that I had a shellfish allergy. He use that information to let me know what items I could or could not have due to my allergy. He even suggested that I’m not due for $35 brunch because a lot of the items get cross contaminated with shellfish. The information he gave us so useful and made my dining experience very pleasant. The music was also really good for the duration of our brunch! 10/10 experience
