Volta is a neighbourhood restaurant and bar located at the heart of Burton Road in West Didsbury. We serve a menu of small plates inspired by our international travels. You can eat & drink on our cosy terrace to the front or enjoy the chic decor and vintage bistro style ambience inside.

Please note that bookings for Sunday are for our delicious Small Plates menu!

Our outside covered terrace offers heaters and a covered canopy. Hosting the full range of drinks and small plates.

Fantastic food, every small plate was amazing. The service was also fantastic and great recommendations stopped us from over ordering. Cocktails were good as well. Highly recommend this lovely place.

We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu including the steak, lamb & sea bass. All were exceptional tastes & flavours.

The feta dip is unbelievable. Really tasty food and catered well to allergens. Excellent service by the wonderful Faye!!

Three of us paid for the Volta Experience and I cannot recommend enough! Outstanding food, all exceptionally cooked and seasoned. Highlights for me were the hispi cabbage and flatbread with aubergine and miso dip. We will definitely be returning. Also had a lovely glass of red Pet Nat!

The food was exceptional, as always. No notes! The service was a little lacklustre, long waits between being seated and orders being taken, some drinks forgotten, super slow to bring the bill after asking… small things which just had a knock on effect like missing our tram home because we were waiting. Eveyone was as sweet as punch, maybe just a little nonchalant. Overall we still left feeling incredibly content with the food, thanks a bunch!

This was an amazing experience! The service is excellent. The food is perfect. Every single plate was beautiful and every ingredient complimented the others. You will never find tapas style food like this anywhere else. And they serve Fritz kola! I struggle to find this outside of Germany so I was delighted with this unexpected plus! Do yourself a favor and just go. Try everything. You will not regret a single moment or bite.
