Voghera prides itself in being the first and only ristorante offering APERICENA in the United States. Apericena is a modern Milanese style of dining and is derived from the words APERITIVO (happy hour) and CENA (dinner): a convivial experience which embraces small plates and wine to encourage sharing and the opportunity to savor different flavors and dishes. An entire meal can be composed of smaller dishes or sample one or two alongside larger, entrée size plates. Our cuisine focuses on Northern Italian and Milanese dishes, such as "Risotto alla Milanese" - Arborio rice simmered with saffron, alongside a vast variety of meat and cheese charcuterie boards, and other Italian staples like Tagliatelle alla Bolognese.

We sat at the bar and shared several small plates and the gnocchi bolognese. It was a great place for date night. It was quiet, so you can talk, and the food and cocktails were both delicious. They have a nice wine list of Italian wines that complement the food.

Another delicious meal and fabulous evening. We had the prix fixe menu and everything was spot on. Our server Fabio was excellent, knowledgeable about the food and wine and nice to talk to. Service was just the right level of attentiveness.

We’ve been to Voghera at least a dozen times and this latest experience was one of if not the best. Carlo and team just keep knocking it out of the park.
