Vista Steak and Seafood is located on the bluffs in Pismo Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Featuring all natural hormone free steaks and fresh seafood, this coastal dining one of a kind restaurant has something that will sure to please everyone.

Reservations are highly recommended. We gladly accept reservations for parties of 6 or less via Open Table. Please call the restaurant directly for parties of 7 or more ~ 805-556-9000.

We will do our best to accommodate seating requests however we can not guarantee a specific table. Vista has no outdoor seating so please leave your fur babies at home.

View was beautiful but the food was a miss. Overcooked, over sauced and uninspired. The French onion soup was the best part of dinner. I don’t recommend this spot.

The best thing about Vista Steak and Seafood is the service. It was attentive, but not intrusive, and seemed genuinely kind. I started my meal with the crock of French Onion soup. It was my fourth favorite, ever. That's saying quite a bit, I've been enjoying fine dining for more than fifty years and have had this dish in several hundred restaurants within three countries and in ours, ten different states. The appetizer special, which was brussels sprouts with bacon, cherries and a vinaigrette reduction was tasty, but on the burnt side. In contrast, the chef in charge of my filet apparently defines medium rare as most define rare...I assume their rare is still mooing. It was a very dark red for all but the outer half a millimeter of the cut, which was pink. From the outside it appeared a pinkish gray. The very center was very cold. It took two tries to heat it enough to meet my fairly wide definition of edible, and by that time, of course, the outside was burnt and tough. I didn't care for any of the steak sauces on offer. That's not a problem of the chef's, they just weren't to my taste. The baked potato was large and cooked properly, they delivered it hot and steamy all the way through. The chives, offered in a small cup with a tiny spoon, were fresh and it was nice to be able to add the amount of my choice. The lava cake with what I believe was fresh made whipped cream that we had for dessert was delicious. The house margarita was pedestrian. I've had far better at neighborhood bars. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, I just wish the most important dishes had matched the excellence of the service.

Perfectly cooked filet mignon, baked potato, and green beans with an unexpected lava cake dessert. Our server, Megan, was outstanding - attentive without being intrusive. Our table busser was great too - kept our water glasses filled and our table tidy. We were able to linger over our special meal without feeling rushed. Overall, an exceptional dining experience at Vista Steak!

We shared a huge short rib delicious dinner with fresh-baked sourdough bread. Sophia V was a wonderful server too.

Everything was perfect, beginning with the beautiful ocean-view setting and ending with the chocolate volcano cake they brought for the birthday girl. Great place for a special lunch.

Food was great and the view was gorgeous! We went here last year for our vacation dinner spot and picked this place again this year because we liked it so much.

Outstanding experience from the point we were escorted to our table and throughout the entire evening. Quite a spacious restaurant with outstanding views of the ocean. It was our sons birthday and the service was impeccable. made ou very welcome!!! What can I say the food was amazing. We had the lamb and Cioppino which prodced the greatest array of tastes. Cant wait to the next time, Thanks Vista, awesome evening!!!!! Michael & Family

Great meal as usual. Brought friends from Arizona to Vista for the first time, they had a great meal and a wonderful experience.
