Vista Steak and Seafood is located on the bluffs in Pismo Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Featuring all natural hormone free steaks and fresh seafood, this coastal dining one of a kind restaurant has something that will sure to please everyone.

Reservations are highly recommended. We gladly accept reservations for parties of 6 or less via Open Table. Please call the restaurant directly for parties of 7 or more ~ 805-556-9000.

We will do our best to accommodate seating requests however we can not guarantee a specific table. Vista has no outdoor seating so please leave your fur babies at home.

The service we got was very good and we were seated right away by the window with a breath taking view of the ocean. We both ordered the seared fish sandwich. One with the salad and the other with fries. Sadly, the bun was too soft for this type of sandwich and snapper is not the best choice for the fish as it falls apart easily. The salad was just greens a couple of cherry tomatoes and a couple of cucumber and the house balsamic dressing was not house made which is so easy to make. Go for the view and the service.

This was on our radar to try one day and so for my birthday we decided to try. Made a reservation and asked for a window table, not realizing that the restaurant is long and narrow and whether you're at a window table or the next row back you have a beautiful view of the ocean, especially at sunset. The menu is well balanced and the food is well prepared and more than ample in size. Pricing is reasonable as well. The fresh caught Pismo Halibut was perfectly prepared, the sand dabs were equally as good. The salads are large the wedge easily split between two people. The burgers delivered to other tables were monsters and looked really appetizing. The wine list as a nice balance of wines, both central coast and other regions, but the best part is that the corkage fee is $10. Being able to bring your own wine, a wine you like really helps make the meal special and nice. If there was a down size, it was that the blue cheese dressing is actually ranch dressing with blue cheese crumbles on top. It was good, but not a real blue cheese dressing. The wait staff all were friendly and happy to explain any options and answer any questions. Highly recommended restaurant and more highly recommended that reservations are made. The owners also own Ada's Seafood restaurant a more casual place and Rosa's Italian. All worth going to.

We had the Cioppino it was delicious loaded with seafood and great sauce. Also had the Shrimp, Crab Pasta also very delicious with a generous amount of seafood and pasta. The appetizer of steamed clams & mussels agin very good. Also had a drink called the Pig which is a very good Old Fashion and a filthy martini that was also good. The service was amazing and I feel the price point is good for the quality of the food and amount of food. The view was amazing at sunset time!

We had a variety of great food. Can’t go wrong with Burrata salad! The short ribs melted in your mouth and the halibut special was a buttery delight! Yummy desserts for our Anniversary!

Went for dinner tonight to celebrate my 65th birthday. Had the shrimp & scallops risotto which is delicious, as always!

It was what we expected; a quiet and wonderful evening. No children, no pets, fresh food, great service, all with an amazing view. Tip: eat early and watch the sunset!

We have always enjoyed good food at Vista. However, last night was a disappointment. The calamari appetizer was very tough and at $40.00 a plate for the sea bass, they should have removed the iodine, which in both cases was 25% of the serving. Some people may enjoy the iodine, however we find it unpleasant to eat.
