We have eaten here many times. Met an old friend for brunch today. Food is always very good with a great selection. Service was very good.

Overall we had a good experience. The food was good. Our waiter was good. My only issue was while sitting outside, several people had large dogs, and for the most part it was okay until it was time to leave. On the way out, we had a difficult time exiting because of someone’s large dog standing in the middle of the walkway, and there was no other way around the dog. The owner did nothing to encourage or move the dog out of the way. For the record, I don’t like dogs touching or sniffing me for any reason. It was totally unexpected and did my best to remain calm while trying to pass by this dog that was sniffing and touching me. It was an unpleasant experience for me and my party of 4. I felt harassed by the dog but the staff nor the owner seem to have any situational awareness, they acted as if it was normal and okay for the dog to touch and invade our space as we walked by. The business need ensure that if patrons are going have their dogs dine with them that it doesn’t impact someone else’s dinning experience. Everyone doesn’t like or want dogs touching them.

Great food! Big portions and so yummy. We ordered the chicken tacos, chicken caesar salad, calamari, mac and cheese, virgin mochito.

Wonderful evening. Great food. (Wednesday is half price wine bottles, that’s a plus. ) Did not wait very long for apps, drinks, or main course. Serving staff is very attentive.

The service was excellent and there was a great food variety. I love the relaxed atmosphere here. We were celebrating a birthday so it was nice to be seated in a semi-private area where it was easy to talk and hear the conversation.

Unfortunately atmosphere was the best part about our experience. Had Sunday evening reservations and upon arriving got walked through the entire restaurant only to sit in the very back. Service was horrible, and don’t say that lightly taking under consideration the challenges with restaurants have with finding good help. Maybe saw our server 3 times the whole evening…drinks took forever, food was brought out by someone else and nobody ever asked how it was, if we needed anything, another drink NOTHING! Food was not worth the money paid on ANY level. Then when finally seeing her to ask for parmesan cheese (got pasta with red sauce), she brought that and the check, which we did not ask for and never asked if we wanted / needed anything else, just set it on the table. Disappointing last night for dinner in Alexandria. With all the other restaurants in proximity, need to do better!

We had the salmon burger and crab benedict. I don’t know what kind of bread the Benedict was served on, but it was a nice touch. Both meals were delicious! Also, the muffins on the brunch menu are not to be missed. Enjoyed dining on the patio.

Great afternoon meal. Nice mix of entree options including kids. Really nice day to sit outside. Crab dip was awesome.

We love this place!!! We were up for the weekend for the Nats game. We actually ate here for brunch and dinner because we love the service, recommendations and the quality of the food!! We can’t wait to come back!! The choices of bourbon was awesome!!

This place came recommended to us and did not disappoint . We were celebrating our daughter’s 30th Birthday . It was perfect for us ! We had drinks upstairs before dinner and was able to sit on the couch area across from the bar . Loved the build out of an old warehouse . Atmosphere was great too ! When we were seated they gave us a special table . Because I had told them in our reservation we were celebrating a big birthday . Our waiter brought desert with a lit candle to the Bday girl ! The food was pleasing for all . Would return here again . Highly recommend Virtue Feed and Grain !
