The whisky selection is excellent and my cocktails were good, but for the price and value, it was a huge disappointment. Our server was fine, but not special. The plating was tacky. For the price, the food should not be served in a paper tray (the poutine) and the chips & dips tasted prepackaged and again the playing was reminiscent of a college dorm rather than a nice waterfront restaurant. My salad greens were fresh but the beets and squash were mushy like baby food. My husband had the beef dip and the sauteed onions were anemic and undercooked and it was all just extremely sad and mediocre. Had it not been for the hot cider, I would have been really mad. But, the Old Fashioned cocktail and the hot cider with whisky were good. Meh... I'd never go back except for drinks. If not for the location, I think this restaurant would fail in any other setting.

What a disappointment. My reservation was for 7:15 and we arrived only to wait for them to 'find a table'. We were brought to a huge table for 8 and there were 5 of us, which felt very uncomfortable. They said they didn't have a table our size, despite having a reservation! Drinks were ok, although one guest ordered a Dewars and soda and it was clear..... not much Dewars. Our food was fine, nothing special although one of my guests was brought the wrong meal and our went cold while we waited forever for her meal to arrive. The noise level is deafening. I have eaten there in the past, but not in a while. It will likely be my last.

Great food! Great service! We met friends for dinner and even though the restaurant was busy, we were able to have conversation without having to shout.

One of our favorite places in old town. We have always had great service and wonderful food. The crab dip is most yummy. We had chicken quesadillas, a hamburger, steak and fries and a BLT wrap. Everyone was very happy with their meal and then we topped it off, somehow splitting a peanut butter Pie dessert, which was delicious. But I highly recommend splitting it because it’s pretty rich

Food was really just alright and not worth the price. Service was great. Vibes and ambiance were good. Just not wort the price for the food we got

Food was fabulous as always! Drinks were well crafted and there were opportunities for whisky sniffers that you might not have in many other places. We ate on the first floor and it was quite loud, from the people talking to the music playing it was hard to have a conversation without also raising our own voices.

Virtue is one of our go-to spots for lunch/brunch with kids in tow. Gives us a nice opportunity for tasty food in a nice “adult” environment where kids are welcome but not the focus. We especially appreciate how allergy conscious Virtue and the waitstaff/kitchen are. It makes our dining experience much less stressful and enjoyable to know everyone can eat comfortably.

Pretty bad service, a few servers were sitting around watching TV. A few normal niceties went without. Menu lacks details, innovation needed.
