Stationed in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, Virtue is a Southern American restaurant that leads with a culture of hospitality & kindness. We’ve worked hard to create a warm, honest & thoughtful space. We pride ourselves on unpretentious service, timing & most importantly providing great value. At Virtue we use heritage techniques to create some familiar flavors, & some new ones. We hope to see you soon.

Even if you don’t live in Hyde Park, this restaurant should be on your list of places to dine. The cocktails are crafted with great care, the food is prepared with the best ingredients and the service is first class. It’s well worth a try.

Very nice experience. Fried green tomatoes were great, and so was the service. I will return.

From the tobacco baskets on the ceiling, to the kitchen being led by a Black female chef in braids, to excellent service and hospitality from our server Henry, to the windows honoring Breonna, Sandra, and far too many to name…our experience was Virtue was SPECTACULAR. James Beard awards, well deserved! Thank you Chefs Erick, Damarr, and Becky!!! What we ate: Small Rations, Biscuits, Green Tomatoes, and Gizzards. Large Rations, Fish & Grits, and Blackened Catfish. Sweet Rations, Carrot Cake (to go) #BlackOwned
