We’ve worked hard to create a warm, honest & thoughtful space. We pride ourselves on unpretentious service, timing & most importantly providing great value. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Virtue Restaurant in Hyde Park, IL, and I can't say enough about the exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic evening. The ambience was perfect, with music that complemented the setting beautifully. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into creating such a welcoming environment. Our waitress was outstanding, showcasing an impressive knowledge of both the food and drink menus. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she made us feel truly cared for throughout our meal. Every bite of food we ordered was a culinary delight. The flavors were exquisite, and each dish was prepared to perfection. We were so impressed that we ordered an extra serving of the chicken gumbo to go—it was that good! Virtue Restaurant exceeded all my expectations, and I can't wait to return. The chef takes ordinary foods such as corn bread and Mac and cheese and takes them to the absolute next level. Food was amazing!

Virtue, is a great place for family, friends and colleagues. I feel, it is not an ideal place for an intimate date for two, that was our experience on September 27th 2024 upon our arrival at the restaurant. Hence, it was my husband's 63rd birthday and I requested an intimate table for two which I found out from management that there were no " intimate tables for two" in the main dining room, the only single tables for two were in the bar area which was very noisy. I explained my disappointment to Management but was told by management that they could not and would not accommodate us. So, I expressed my sincere disappointment and experience especially, when I requested an intimate table for two ahead of time and paid $40 to reserve the reservation. At the very least I felt that should have been told to me and my husband before our arrival and maybe I would have chosen another restaurant but I was not given that option.

Our server Joe was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The hospitality was very welcoming. Everything we picked from the menu was absolutely amazing. The textures and flavors from each dish were so well balanced. Fantastic evening overall!

Service was great, waiters were amazing and the food was excellent. The vibes were just everything. I like the low lighting.

We were visiting from Boston and decided to try Virtue. What a treat to experience the warm, welcoming vibe, the outstanding service and the superb food. This place is a microcosm of how the world should be. Can’t recommend it highly enough!!
