Dante and his team are the new-kids on Moody Street, Waltham but old pros in the Boston area. Dante has been cooking in his home town of Abruzzo since 1979. His passion for cooking grew as explored the all the flavors and recipes of the Adriatic Sea which surrounded him. We are excited to bring our skills to Waltham where we welcome old friends and invite new ones to Vinotta Restaurant.

Vinotta Restaurant serves simple food made with fresh, wholesome, organic ingredients using locally sourced vendors. Flowing between classic and modern Italian favorites all made from scratch and sure to suit your palate. Domestic and imported wine selections to compliment food choices available for in-house and take out dining.

Best eggplant rolotini I have ever had and pasta was hot and dente. Our waiter was accommodating and attentive and the space is beautiful. My new favorite Italian in the Boston area!

Food was good overall. We were there with another couple and the appetizers (meatballs, bruschetta, calamari) and desserts (chocolate lava cake, creme brulee) were good. For mains, my husband really liked his filet mignon. Nice flavors for my shrimp and clam pasta but the linguine was over cooked. Service was mediocre. We were made to feel like we annoyed our server every time we made a comment, eg when we wanted to stay with the wine we ordered instead of the one he tried to push us towards or when we asked him to repeat a couple of the specials because we couldn't hear due to the noise level. We also never got water refills when our glasses were empty. Been several times and our prior visits were definitely much better. Hopefully, this was an off night. For the prices, we expect more.

Very nice loved the ambiance. Portions could have been bigger other than that completely satisfied. I will definitely go back again. Very cozy . Excellent staff.

The entire experience at Vinotta was amazing. The food, drinks & staff are worth the trip to Moody St in Waltham.

I took my sister and wife to Vinotta yesterday for dinner. The food, service, wine and overall experience was just perfect. And Dante, the owner, stopped by to say hello which is an uncommon touch. Dante is always on premise, and he seems to know every client on a first name basis. Dante's recommended wine and meal choices are always spot on. I highly recommend Vinotta. Paul and Maggie

Only complaint was the Veal Chop. For $65 I expected it to be tender and juicy. It was on the tough side.. not especially flavorful. Everyone else loved their entree. Service was very good. Nice place to eat out.

Vinotta is a perfect restaurant. The food is outstanding from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. And the wine list is for discerning wine drinkers like us. The staff is smart, fun, knowledgeable, and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful, and immaculate. The best part of Vinotta is Dante, the owner. Dante always takes the time to greet us, to make recommendations on wine and food, and to get to know us. This past Thursday, my two sons and I got our Italian passports. My wife Maggie did all the work with the Italian consulate, but Dante helped us get out from the bottom of the pile of applications, as the consul is a customer of Vinotta and friend of Dante. Dante also helps us with recommendations when we are traveling---he knows everyone in the restaurant world---he has never steered us wrong. We are regulars at the bar and will continue to enjoy the food, wine and great service at Vinotta. As frequent diners, my wife and I rate Vinotta #1.

Food is excellent— authentic Italian cuisine made with the freshest ingredients. The owner, Dante, is wonderful and so welcoming. Great ambience too. Vinotta is a hidden gem on Moody Street!

Wonderful restaurant! Our group of 4 sat in a booth - so comfortable and the high backs really made it so we could hear each other talk without problem - which is a rarity when you go out to a full and bustling restaurant. Service was impeccable and food was delicious. They have an extensive wine list. We are usually a cocktails group but we opted for a bottle of the sparkling Rose that was like a dry rose prosseco - delicious! I had the chicken marsala which is a particular favorite of mine. My friends who had the lobster ravioli and short rib calabrese raved about them. The caesar salad was dressed perfectly. The warm rolls were loved by all. The cannoli and tiramisu were also huge hits for all of us. Just an all around great experience and we will definitely be back!
