Featuring a comprehensive selection of more than 200 whiskeys alongside what has been called the country’s best burger, Village Whiskey is an instant classic. Envisioned by Chef Garces as a spot where he and his team could enjoy a drink and a snack after a long night in the kitchen, the restaurant’s focal point is the central bar that is home to their near-encyclopedic catalogue of Chef Garces’ favorite spirit, whiskey. Our able bartenders shake and stir classic and contemporary cocktails in a space evocative of a Prohibition-era speakeasy. The table we were seated wasn’t in the best place. It felt like it was just shoved there right near bathroom and pass through to the other side. The waiter ignored us half the time we were there. We tried to get his attention for multiple things and just were ignored. Not what I’m used to at Village Whiskey, but honestly not sure I’d go back. Seems to have lost its way.

We had a great time here. The food is delicious, the cocktails are fantastic and the staff is excellent. I highly recommend.

This place just isn’t like it used to be in the past. The food is average, the burgers are nothing special anymore, just not the Village Whiskey I would visit all the time years ago. Such a shame because this used to be my go-to spot back in the day.
