On a rainy night, last day of June 2024 I had dinner with 4 friends at Village Hall. For $460 we each had appetizer, main dish, and dessert+ coffee. I think this is a great value granted the lovely ambiance and service. There’s a beer garten with live music on Fri and Sat and I plan to come back for Bavarian Pretzel ( size of a head) and Heineken 00.

Staff was pleasant but inexperienced and not trained. Food was bland. Sorbet was good.

Food was really delicious but took a very long time to come. We enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere. Everyone was very nice.

Good solid food , not exceptional. Menu less exciting than it was a year ago. Brussels and baked oysters were highlights. Good service.

I’ve been there four or five times and I love it! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is wonderful. I’ve also been to the pump house and they’re both great, I love it. The food comes to you hot, which is so important. It’s my go-to restaurant and I am looking forward to the next time.

Great food, stunning atmosphere! The slight downside was only 1 server, 1 busser, and 1 bartender were scheduled. We weren't in a rush and had a great time. The skeleton crew did their best and very much appreciated by us, but were definitely overwhelmed. We will absolutely be back!

This was my second time at Village Hall Tavern , overall we enjoyed our time there due to the atmosphere and joyful occasion. However the staff was not as attentive and although friendly we waited for parts of our meal that eventually didn’t arrive because they were sold out of them or appetizers that arrived later than others when we all ordered everything at the same time. We were also asked to do so because they wanted to get everything out on time but one of the appetizers came when everyone else was about finished and soon afterwards our entree came and without our vegetable side dish and we were told it was not coming because they were sold out. Then we were given the dessert menu we ordered to go dessert and they didn’t explain which was what and what part went with each. We waited too long for our check. My 1/2 chicken was very disappointing and lacked flavor, my mother’s salmon had wimpy skin and should have been crispy or removed. The tuna tar tar was “ so, so”. The calamari app was good, and the shrimp fradiavlo was good and flavorful. Overall I give it an average rating. I was disappointed with the service. Chalk it up to a busy Holiday weekend.

From the moment we got there to the last second we left, the service and drinks were exceptional. The food was great too from everything we ordered. Will definitely be coming back soon and recommending to friends to visit!

The dishes we ordered were very tasty but kind of small. My chicken dinner for $28 had a wing and a drumstick and not big ones at that. I thought they were stingy portions. The kitchen got all backed up and it took an hour for our entrees to come out of the kitchen. The waitress and the manager handled the situation perfectly. They overcame the delay with generosity and contrition. Expensive but a really nice setting and an uncrowned seating situation.

We were excited to try out the place. Loved the ambiance and decor. We got 3 appetizers calamari, burrata, and mushroom soup. Wasn’t expecting the calamari to be so spicy and only a handful on the plate with some slaw. The burrata and fig jam was amazing. My friend liked the soup but it was too salty. Dinners we got the gnocchi, short rib, and steak. Gnocchi didn’t taste potato based and not light and fluffy. More spongy. The short rib meat was great. Not thrilled with the red sauce or the texture of polenta. The polenta should have been more creamy. It was very thick and seemed to be sitting before it was served. The steak and mash were good. We also got the fruit tart, affogato, and English pudding. These were the best food items of the meal! Drinks were also decent. Would only return for drinks and dessert.
