Lovely restaurant but food was a bit disappointing. Expected a bit more than our local pub grub.

I’ve found Velvet food and service a bit hit and miss in the past but last night was perfect. Thank you especially to the waitress that was doing a great job at serving all tables on her own.

The food was lacklustre,the menu wasn't enough options,there were items missing and when small menu was difficult. Overall we thought the menu needed a revamp. The velvet has lost its way again. Very quiet and food was very average . Staff were nice thou 👌

Always a pleasure . Different staff this time but an absolute pure delight. It was my friends first time after me suggesting here and she loved it and has already made plans to return with her partner

Food was excellent! It’s by far the best Sunday dinner I have ever had. We ate here as we were staying in the hotel attached. Staff all attentive and helpful. We loved it so much and will 100% return even if we aren’t staying over

Lovely little gem although I was a little cold. We had the calamari to start with and I didn’t think it tasted of muck. The mains (Sunday lunch) was quite nice and the puddings was delicious . Over all for what it cost us I was pleasantly surprised and will be returning

We booked a table for 4 at 19:15 hrs, the place was less than half full and we asked to the kind black hostess whether we could be seated in the table with 6 seats, so we could be more comfortable. We were informed the table was reserved, however no more customers arrived later that day, we were the last ones to arrive and leave. The waiter was exceptional with the service and food excellent.

ordered the 3 course Sunday Lunch, the food was amazing, we ordered an extra of Cauliflower cheese, the only problem with it was the cauliflower was really hard, the cheese was good on it tho but just a little hard to chew.
