Open for over two decades, 2019 marks the 25 year anniversary of Vigilucci’s Trattoria formerly located in Encinitas. Absolutely the finest Italian restaurant in all of San Diego. The world famous cioppino is beyond amazing. Great management. Everyone so friendly and accommodating.

Service was great! Food was great! Knocked off a star only because my pasta was slightly a bit salty. But everything else was delicious. I will be returning and recommend.

92 yr old mom lives in nearby Carlsbad. As a native CA now living in Scottsdale, this used to be a regular place for us. It was better than I remembered and I used to love it. Lunch crowd was not too crazy and the service and food were outstanding. Make sure to order the baked artichoke appetizer-it will change your life. Mom had the Burrata pizza (excellent) my wife had the lunch Chicken Piccata and I enjoyed the fish of the day, which was Salmon. Our two dishes came perfectly prepared and their vegetables were as artistically presented as they were delicious. A small side of al dente spaghetti accompanied our two dishes. We shared lava cake for dessert and overall a great experience. We’ll be back.

Went here for my anniversary and had a great time! Service was amazing and so was the food! Beautiful dishes and live piano music! 100% recommend!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in this area. Very pleasant staff, very attentive and knowledgeable…and the food is superb! We will be back soon…until then…gratzie

Always very consistent food. Service is very attentive and every server that went by checked on us so that we did not have to wait on one individual person. The piano bar was nice. The music was the level that you could listen, but still have a conversation with the people at your table.

Great food. Entertainment was different to hear, probably because it was a peak time that we were there and the restaurant was packed.

The finest Italian restaurant in Calif. The food the service everything is 5 star. Seafood cioppino best in the world spaghetti, and the finest meatballs ever made. chicken Parmesan was delicious. even the piano player was great.!!!

The indoor live music is nice but can be a little loud if you have more than 4 people at a table trying to have a conversations. However, there are several choices of indoor or outdoor seating, including several private areas for groups and a back patio which are very quiet.
