    My husband and I shared the 16 strip ribeye steak it perfectly done just right nice and tender and we had lobsters very yummy. The service was perfect .The waiter recommend the shrimp for an appetizer and crème brûlée for dessert, 🍮 he was right on. It was our last night in Montreal otherwise I sure we’d be back there.

    Everything was great! Do not have any complains about the food, they gave us good portions, very nice terrase and nice staff, will be coming back

    NOISY, waiter with no knowledge of wine, linguini supposed to be with lobster, but even after digging, could not find the lobster, just its price on the bill. The steaks on the tables around seemed OK.

    Service is generally slow in Montreal and this followed the same pattern. They didn’t read our reservation to understand a few key points of our visit. Food was excellent and the building and atmosphere was great.

    We had a mixed experience. The service was excellent; even though we arrived late to the party, our server greeted us right away and was very kind, which we really appreciated. We started with the popcorn shrimp, which was absolutely amazing—crispy, flavorful, and a great way to kick off our meal. However, when it came to the main courses, we were pretty disappointed. Unfortunately, everything was just mediocre, lacking the flavor and quality we were hoping for. Overall, while the service and starter were great, the main dishes left much to be desired. We’d return for the appetizers and service but hope the mains improve in the future.

    Outstanding as per usual. Our fourth Labour Day Weekend in Montreal and Vieux-Port Steakhouse is an absolute target destination. Sheila enjoyed a perfectly done New York Cut and I devoured the Tomahawk Pork Chop with, gulp, Chimichurra sauce. Interesting yet savoury combination. High kudos to our energetic and charismatic waiter “Jimmy” who was responsive and helpful with food choices. Thanks to bus staff supporting transitions between food and wine. Excellent romantic evening and we look forward to next years visit. Be great today and always!! John + Sheila

    Our group had a reservation for later in the evening but we showed up over one hour early and we were accommodated willingly. Once seated, there was a very upset child crying so we asked to be moved and again we were accommodated willingly. We were attended to quite quickly and entered our orders. One of us ordered our steak done medium but it came to us med-rare. The staff was apologetic and dealt with this immediately and resolved the issue professionally. The staff at this restaurant seem to understand what it takes to deliver an excellent product and care that their clientele is satisfied. At the end of the day, we have all been disappointed with sub-par product and service at some point. In this case, customer service was important and issues were resolved promptly and willingly. We weren’t fortunate enough to meet the manager but his/her leadership resonates in the service we received here.

    Great local steakhouse! Charming atmosphere in Old Port. Delicious meals and excellent service. We enjoyed a selection of local Quebec cheeses and steaks.
