Excellent food, warm pretzel bread was a nice surprise. Starters of oyster Rockefeller and fried calamari was top notch. Main meals Filet melt in mouth (great fire (not breaded) crust on outside and perfect med/rare inside) Great amount of ahi tuna served (just slightly too peppery/salty) and drowned out the sensitive taste of the high quality fish. I might ask next time to lessen salt and the spicy pepper coating for next time. Served was very nice, knowledgeable, and timely attended. Definitely would come again for a special occasion or just a great meal! This restaurant is not as “advertised” as others like Church and Union. But CU cannot compare to Victor’s quality and taste in food! I would highly suggest you go here before CU where it’s really only the environment of eating in an old church that makes it unique.

Normally we really enjoy Victor's. So many great restaurants to choose from and this one can get lost in the mix. Unfortunately tonight it clarified why it's never on the top of our list....not consistent enough and mistakes are not handled well. Wife's Porterhouse came out Rare and it was ordered Medium.y steak was straight raw in the last half and the Manager didn't do much to satisfy. We had 2 appetizers, bottle of wine, 2 premium sides and $120 in steaks. We received credit for our two sides....not much of a concession. The Server Ella was the only thing that really stood out as excellent. Disappointed but in a few months we'll come back again. 2 misses out 5 visits over the past 18 months...not great stats.

This is a nice restaurant by looks, but the food was just not great. Our waitress Ellen was very nice, chef came out and greeted us, but unfortunately we did not enjoy the food.

The food was great and the server was attentive and interesting without being intrusive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Shared two salads and each of our 3 diners enjoyed an entree. Lot of finishes were torch seared vs oven. We ordered broccoli rob, which was actually broccoli florets. Also interested take on Twice baked potato which was more akin to a potato skin

Service was excellent. My spouse had the swordfish. It was less than hot when served and somewhat less than moist. I had the pork chop. It was hot and very tasty

My husband and I had the BEST experience dining at Victor’s. Our waiter, Andrew, was exceptional! Attentive (paid attention to what we said and made some A+ recommendations that we LOVED), funny, engaging - he made the experience that much better! Will definitely be back on our next visit to Charleston.
