Overall a good experience. There were four of us. All were very satisfied with their food. Tasty and portions were decent. Nice that 1/2 portion salads are offered as even that was generous. One quibble, no cheese on the Caesar salad. Will definitely be back.

The menu was very hit or miss. The initial bread was excellent as was the side of asparagus. The kids enjoyed their cheeseburger, fries and spaghetti. However the main entrees were quite lacking, particularly for the price. My husband’s spaghetti and meatballs was exactly the same as what was served to the children. He said it tasted like Spaghetti-O’s and the meatballs were not appealing. The Caesar salad was not dry but somehow it had now flavor. We did not opt for dessert based on the main dishes.

Got a number of bug bites siting inside. Bar service was notably slow on cocktails when the seatings were quite light.

The service was amazing and everyone was very attentive but as much as I wanted to like the food, it was just terrible and not worth the money we paid. The big thing was the lack of flavor in all of the dishes. It was very disappointing and sad b/c it was our first night eating out on vacation. The flatbread was like cardboard and the sauce for the short rib gnocchi tasted like water; not even salt water. Our group did like the crab cake dinner which is a positive but that was one of six dishes. Again, the service and environment was excellent so it made up for the lack luster food! Hopefully this feedback will help going forward!!

The scallops were delicious, but the risotto was not. Tasted more like unsweetened rice pudding. Meals did not arrive hot. Disappointed.

Nice view of the ocean, but got buggy. They didn’t have anything to keep the bugs away. The waiter was challenging to work with! He didn’t even know if you had Diet Coke or not! Despite repeatedly asking for a steak to be cooked medium, our friends steak came out extremely rare. I got a crazy salad that was terrible. The tomatoes were hard. The cheese was hard. It had no flavor and had no dressing on it whatsoever and I ordered chicken with it and it came with five tiny slices of chicken for eight dollars extra! my husband and his friend thought the salmon was OK. So even though it didn’t feel expensive, we didn’t get a ton of food. Mine was ordered as a dinner, but came out as an appetizer before everyone else. The food was prepared the steak and salad was actually pretty bad! I definitely would not recommend

The table with the direct seaside view and overall atmosphere was wonderful. However, that is where the nice part of the experience stopped. We would have been better off sitting on a bench outside the restaurant. The service started out slow and just got worse. The waiter forgot every request and we needed to ask for things multiple times and that is only when we were able to catch him, he did not proactively come to our table. The cold avacado and crab soup and the chicken sandwich were just OK, not great, not horrible. But the tomato basil soup and the Tuna were awful. I love tuna and it takes a lot for me to not eat it, however, it was grayish and had a funky taste. Will never go back nor recommend it.

Lovely evening out on the porch. The food was wonderful. The staff was accommodating. My only complaint is the parking situation. Saturday night in Bethany is a zoo and you cannot park in the hotel parking garage lot. My husband dropped me off and took 15 minutes or more trying to find a place to park. If they want people to drive and eat there, perhaps they need a valet service. Otherwise, it was very good!

Via Sophia is my favorite Delaware restaurant. Our server, Macy, is lovely to interact with and the food is always as good as most restaurants I’ve dined in, in Italy. The ocean, excellent service and amazing food, is a winning combination!
