Welcome to Verve Bar & Restaurant! We are a local independent bar & restaurant, offering a relaxed drinking & dining experience. We specialise in our 5 star-rated, 12” hand-stretched, Wood-Fired Pizzas and our extensive in-house Cocktail list. We also serve a variety of fresh Pastas, Salads, Soft-shell Tacos & plenty of nibbles for all tastes. Gluten free pizza & pasta is available, along with catering to all other Dietary requirements.

We are both family & dog friendly throughout daytimes & early evening, transitioning smoothly to a late-night cocktail bar at night. You can watch your food be prepared & cooked from the comfort of the restaurant, thanks to our open kitchen, which creates an authentic Italian-Pizzeria style experience. Our service has repeatedly received 5-stars thanks to our friendly and attentive team.

The food and drinks were amazing, really enjoyed it. The place was quite loud as there were some probably late teens that were causing quite some noise. The decor of the place is lovely. But place would benefit from using proper table cleaning chemicals as it makes the the wood sticky using just regular spray. Also staff clearly wasn’t talking to each other as we have been approached by at least 4 different people with the same questions in the lapse of 5 minutes. Good service is important but it felt rushed and slightly pushy to make up our mind. The attitude of the staff is however really helpful and friendly so that is a big positive.

Yummy quick pizza and cocktails for dinner at @verve_bse - my husband particularly liked the Bob Marley pizza 🍕 and I appreciated the non alcoholic PG Passiontini cocktail 🍸 We found the music a little loud for an early ish dinner but appreciate that this is the type of venue it is.

Best pizza in town! We visited for lunch, which did not disappoint. Very attentive staff and a friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend 😊

Absolutely amazing night. The guys were really attentive throughout our whole meal, with a number of drinks runs through the night! All three courses were delicious - specifically going to note the dough balls and garlic butter (I could have had it with everything - and in fact I did ask for some more for pizza crusts etc which they graciously accommodated!) and the desserts we got (Biscoff Chocolate Brownie and a Sticky Toffee Pudding). Cocktails were all really good and I could see the mixologists shaking them up as they were ordered. They all tasted way better than really any cocktail I've had prior (though that alone isn't saying much, considering that's mainly been at spoons) but you could really taste all of the notes that were written on the drinks menu. Only little bits of feedback are regarding the Sweet Little Thing and the pepperoni - the Sweet Little Thing wasn't so much sweet as much as a punch in the mouth (that was STRONG and SOUR!) and the pepperoni (I didn't have that on this occasion but one of my guests did) was very salty and spicy. Other than those two little bits, an absolutely perfect evening bringing about a nice close to a good day.

Really great bottomless brunch! A couple of free snacks and a welcome mimosa for Christmas made it feel very special. The Christmas cocktails were great and we had a lovely time. The girls serving us were also very lovely, and regularly came round to take more drinks orders, even if we'd not finished our previous cocktail. Only slight grievance, is that when we ordered shots (offer of 5 for £15, we got 10), we were charged for each individual shot (£4 each, so a £10 difference) and I didn't realise until after we'd paid. Possibly a mistake, just a slight niggle on an otherwise great visit.
