Vernick Fish presents Philadelphia’s own, Chef Greg Vernick’s exploration beyond the boundaries of a seafood restaurant. His ingredient-driven cooking style, paired with a love for global flavors, results in an inventive menu of fish and shellfish dishes, and a range of vegetable preparations. Taking a detailed, seasonal, and sustainable approach with small and large plate offerings, the kitchen brings new life to the favorite hallmarks of American oyster bar fare and raw bar. Complementing the experience are well-crafted cocktails, and a focused wine list of seafood-friendly white and sparkling offerings, as well as light, fresh reds.

    A fresh take on holiday traditions, Vernick Fish will be hosting a "Feast of the Seven Fishes" inspired prix-fixe menu on December 23rd and 24th. Created by Chef's Greg Vernick and David Paterniti, a five course menu will be served family-style and will feature highlights such as live scallop crudo with blood orange & grilled fresno chili, brandade croquette with ossetra caviar, and a whole roasted turbot with brown butter, salt baked celery root, & white truffle. Reservations can be cancelled up to seven days in advance. Cancellations under four days will incur a $75 charge per guest. Certain dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice only. Please contact the restaurant prior to your reservation for approval.

    We had a great experience. All our selections from small plates to large were very fresh, big flavors and perfect portions. We will return often!

    Food was inconsistent Branzino for $72 was only okay They served a rancid butter but apologized and replaced it with a good one Service was slow and inattentive and at one point bordered on rude in tone Had been there previously for a birthday 2 years ago and wonder if the chef and mgmt have changed since then as felt really different But the crudos and the halibut were delicious

    Manager kept flicking lights on and off throughout our service. The waiter was average. The food was good but I think the overall experience is what to expect from a hotel restaurant.

    Best restaurant in Philadelphia, hands down! The Ling Salmon Crudo, the oysters, the branzino and sea bass and the drinks: all excellent!

    Excellent experience. Be prepared for a little bit more expensive than planned. We took advantage of a few extra cocktails and oysters!

    Food was fantastic. Very disappointed in the service. We'll chalk it up to one person's bad day but it felt like we were asking our server for a favor every time she came around or we needed something. Very awkward and uncomfortable.

    Greg, does it again! My only regret is that I waited this long to get over there after so many great experiences at his initial restaurant. The food was superior. Service, professional, energetic, and engaging! The vibe in the room was opulent fun!!! my guy Evan at the bar is one of the best in the city! You'll see us there very soon… And often!
