Vernick Fish presents Philadelphia’s own, Chef Greg Vernick’s exploration beyond the boundaries of a seafood restaurant. His ingredient-driven cooking style, paired with a love for global flavors, results in an inventive menu of fish and shellfish dishes, and a range of vegetable preparations. They were running behind schedule with seating, but we’re very nice and sat us at a lounge area and gave us some complementary appetizers.

Michael our server was awesome and the cooks at our counter seating were Matthew and ? Made our dinner a fun experience ! Thanks guys! Swordfish was amazing

Food was good. Service was okay. Ambiance is fine. Service was VERY rushed which was quite disappointing. Felt like they wanted us in & out as soon as possible. We were super excited but honestly left disappointed. Didn’t meet our expectations & feel there are much better spots in the city (especially for the food, price, ambience, service, etc)

The oysters and the homemade pasta were phenomenal. My scallops were mediocre, The wine list is really small. the service was excellent. it is noisy, plus music and the atmosphere is neither accommodating nor personal. It was like eating in an airport. I won't be back. I like the other Vernick restaurant much better.

This was our second time at Vernick and a real disappointment. We were seated in a separate area from the main dining room, with no ambience and a view of the parking garage. My husband waited about 20 minutes for his cocktail and finally changed his order to wine. Crudo was so salty and over sauced that the fish was undetectable. Tomatoes in tomato salad also tasteless. For $40 I got a piece of bass 4 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick, heavily blackened, which was the only flavor I tasted. Mocha pie was weirdly bitter. The only excellent dish was the halibut. Completely not worth the exorbitant prices.
