Vernick Fish presents Philadelphia’s own, Chef Greg Vernick’s exploration beyond the boundaries of a seafood restaurant. His ingredient-driven cooking style, paired with a love for global flavors, results in an inventive menu of fish and shellfish dishes, and a range of vegetable preparations. Taking a detailed, seasonal, and sustainable approach with small and large plate offerings, the kitchen brings new life to the favorite hallmarks of American oyster bar fare and raw bar. Complementing the experience are well-crafted cocktails, and a focused wine list of seafood-friendly white and sparkling offerings, as well as light, fresh reds.

Overall, it was a good experience, but the food was not superior. Prices were high, which is to be expected, I suppose, since the restaurant is at the base of the Four Seasons, but the price didn't match the quality.

Our waiter was excellent: informative, attentive, and friendly. The appetizers were very good. My meal was excellent prepared, though I am not sure the poach halibut was a great choice for me personally, as it was a bit bland and didn’t quite suit my taste. The Salmon or Bronzino would have been the way to go for me. The drinks are on the pricier side, but admittedly it has been a while since my wife and I dined in the city and the overhead costs of doing business have all gone up significantly.

There is not one bad item on this menu. The chef has perfectly curated the most well balanced menu I have ever had. Don’t let the price tag food you, every bite is an experience and will leave you wanting to try every single item on the menu. Standout was all the crudo and the octopus and the crab pasta, and the halibut and the sea bass and THE WHOLE MENU. We love vernick fish and will continue to frequent this place.

Amazing restaurant at all aspects. Quality of food is at the highest level, interesting and well prepared. Service is efficient, helpful and friendly. Truly a memorable evening in one of the best restaurants in town

As always this restaurant has great food, atmosphere and ambience. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, hospitable and warm. Always is a great joy. It is a great restaurant. Every time I come to Philadelphia I dine at this restaurant. I strongly recommend to everyone who loves fine dining.
