                                                                                              It wasn't that busy and we had to wait for a server. She brought our wine and ask about bringing bread, we said yes. She stopped by to ask how tings were but forgot our bread. We waited for her to come back for a while and then decided to pay for the wine and leave. Left a 10% tip on the wine. Won't be back for a long time.

                                                                                              Very pleasant setting, interior is lovely. The crab cakes faintly tasted of crab, too much filler, crab was lost in the other ingredients (bread?), especially for the price, salad was overdressed. Our waiter was a really nice guy, possibly had too many tables or just needs training. We saw little of him, didn't clear salad plates, refresh water, check back with us until we were finished with our meal. If they were short staffed, this is where the manager can step in to help.

                                                                                              Service was terrible, food was less then desirable for the cost. This is the second meal at Veritas in the last few months - thought would give another chance. The first was exactly the same - poor service and low quality food. Would not recommend.

                                                                                              It was the first time my husband and I had eaten at Veritas. We really enjoyed everything about our experience! From the time we arrived, we were treated with courtesy and professionalism! Our waitress, Erika, was very friendly and attentive! Our experience was great! We will return again!

                                                                                              We were visiting Jackson from out of town and a local person recommended the Veritas for dinner. We looked at the menu and decided to try it. We went 4th of July weekend and it was not very busy, so we were surprised that the service was slow. We did not see the waitress often and had to provide a few reminders for our bread and drink refills when we did. The meals were very underwhelming. 3 members of our party ordered a steak and the other ordered a walleye. Everything was so heavily seasoned with dill and/or garlic that it was too overpowering to enjoy the meal. Definitely avoid the potatoes if you are going there on a date as there were literal garlic chunks mixed into them. To their credit though, the steaks were cooked properly. Maybe we came on an off night, but we were not impressed given how much our meal cost.

                                                                                              We think Veritas is the nicest and best restaurant in Jackson and the food last night (a weeknight) was very good to excellent, but the place was very short-staffed. Only one cook in the kitchen, one sushi chef, 3 servers and 1 extremely slow bartender. Everyone else was hustling, including the manager, but the place was just too busy for them to handle. We waited 15 minutes for our first drink order, then another 10 minutes when we ordered glasses of wine with our entrees. It took at least 20 minutes for dessert to arrive. We'll got back, but will hope for a better-paced experience.
