    Our server Logan could not have been any better. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very attentive. Her recommendations were spot on and appreciated. Food and service was excellent. Thank you.

    Absolutely the worst meal I have ever had on Marco Island! Would have been a zero star if available. A local couple who has eaten at all the normal spots on Marco but we decided to try Verdi’s. We have not been there in 2 years. We never write reviews normally. We tried the encrusted grouper twice but each time it was raw and truly inedible! Finally we switched to a shrimp dish and meatloaf. I figured they could not screw up meatloaf. I was wrong! It was simply a baseball sized meatball with no flavor. It included mashed potatoes and spinach but they smothered it with so much red sauce that u could not find the mashed potatoes! Not only was the food horrible but they had you wait in the parking lot while they tried to seat tables. The manager simply told us to go wait in the parking lot and make friends even though we had reservations made 2 weeks prior!! While I can give them a break for Valentine’s Day the absolute horrible food quality is inexcusable!! I never mind waiting a bit while in paradise but I never expect the food to be inedible!! They failed! We will never come back!!!!!!

    The food and service are great and have been for over 30 years. My overall rating is all related to the owner, Vince Rodriguez. He’s always been surly, miserable and a terrible host but tonight he was a real piece of work. Sure it’s Valentine’s Day - apparently the first time that’s happened. Vince accepted way too many reservations and as a result we had to wait 45 min PAST reservation time to be seated. We were, I think, understandably annoyed, especially since we paid $78 ($39 per person) to make the reservation. Vince was SO rude about it. Offered absolutely zero other than a super helpful suggestion to “make friends while you wait in the parking lot”…no offer of a glass of wine, a small appetizer or even a lowly glass of water! And made all his customers (other than those that asked for refund for deposit and left) feel like it was our fault he doesn’t know how manage his restaurant…no suppose, he is always extremely rude and was even more so tonight. To make things worse, the $78 deposit I made was NOT applied to my bill, so I essentially paid TWICE for my meal. What a gong show. If it wasn’t for the servers - especially James, Vince would’ve gone out of business long ago. But he’s too arrogant to even know that. So my advice is make sure you get your deposit applied against your bill because Vince won’t do that automatically, be warned about Vince and avoid him. But still go because the food is good and the servers deserve more than Vince

    Went to Verdi's on Valentine's Day. The owner (rude, obnoxious and miserable) apparently decided to overbook tables to make the optimal amount of money he could for the evening. Arrived about 5 minutes before my reservation and host/owner said 'it's going to be a while". Well, what does "a while" mean?? What a dumb thing to say to paying customers. I asked does that mean 10 minutes or 30 minutes? At least 20 people waiting in the parking lot. Of course, we're all waiting because he took a deposit of $39/pp at time of booking. Should have known then that this wasn't going to turn out well. How about offering waiting customers a glass of water or complimentary glass of wine, complimentary dessert? A little good will can go a long way. No good will on the menu at Verdi's. At least we enjoyed some music, compliments of Sami's! I won't be returning, ever, even though the food was good. There are plenty of places to spend my money on Marco, and this is not one of them. Owner needs to learn something about the restaurant biz. Maybe DaVinci's or Arturo's could give him a little tutorial.

    Never felt so unwelcome walking into a supposedly nice restaurant with reservations The host, which we learned is also the owner, grumbled about a busy night (Valentines Day dinner) and asked me to stay outside with 15 or so others that were waiting to be seated. Reservations required an advanced deposit for VD dinner. 15 minutes past our reservation time, after a number groups were seated I told the owner that if we were't seated soon I wanted my deposit back and we'd go somewhere else. We were immediately seated. The server was great and thanked us for coming- the owner did not. My wife was served the wrong entree and we had another 7 minute wait. The food was very good and prices very reasonable.

    Service was well coordinated and team had a nice flow going on the floor. Chef served us excellent dishes with nice presentation.

    Everything was wonderful. Great service. Had the pistachio crusted grouper and shrimp scampi - both were excellent. Usually don’t do dessert but couldn’t resist the whiskey bread pudding and apple strudel.

    One of my favorite restaurants. Excellent service and fantastic food. Never had a meal that I didn’t absolutely enjoy. Everything is good. If you don’t make this a must restaurant to eat at, you are missing a real treat.
