Where to start. I ate at the Hillsdale location a couple of years ago and liked it. So was excited to try this one and picked it for my family birthday and what an utter disappointment. After 20 minutes we had to ask the waiter if we ordered at our table. We finally put in our order and they forgot to put in one of them. When we finally got all of our food two of four meals were inedible. Hated the entire experience. Could not have been worse.

As always, the food and staff were excellent! One of the few places we can eat confidently and delicously with our celiac daughter and vegan son.

It had been several years since my wife and I ate at Verde cocina and the first time since they moved from the old location… I had the chicken enchiladas, which were absolutely fantastic and we’re very healthy. We had the fresh made guacamole and corn tortillas which were both excellent. I did not miss the rice and beans typical of Mexican restaurants. I think the food may be even better than it was the last time I was there. I will definitely be back when I’m in Portland.

Great flavors, good portions, good service, clean, convenient location Whether your plant-based or meat based, there are many many items to choose from. Made everybody comfortable they were going to be eating something they would like.

It is rare to find a Mexican restaurant with healthy options… In Verde Cochina is the place to find that! I had the Nor’wester plate… Filled with fresh veggies, quinoa, black beans, pico de gallo, fresh cucumber, pita, and a plant-based poblano – coconut sauce that was out of this world delicious!!! my partner had the Tres street tacos - beautifully presented, and according to him, very delicious! I recommend this quaint, wonderfully decorated restaurant. And to top it off, everyone was super friendly and expert service!!

The food was fresh and delicious. The server was a warm and friendly gal who understood exactly what we were looking for. We needed dairy free and she explained the items ordered and checked in while we were eating to be sure we had everything. What a treat! I will visit again.
