Vercelli Restaurant is a family run Italian Restaurant situated in the centre of Hexham, a busy market town in Northumberland. The family, all from around the Hexham area, have worked hard over the last 4 years to modernise the cocktail bar and restaurant. All the family are involved in the business, with the aim of providing a memorable experience.

Sue, Front of House Manager, enjoys working alongside the enthusiastic team who have built a relationship with their returning customers and welcoming new, with an aim to make your experience relaxing and memorable throughout.

Executive chef, Jordan, and Head chef, Scott, source the finest Italian provisions to produce high quality Italian dishes with a modern twist.

At the front of the restaurant is a small, modern cocktail bar which hosts live music nights regularly but can be enjoyed for a bite to eat or a drink any night of the week.

Visited on a quiet Tuesday. There were a few other customers, enough for a bit of atmosphere. Food was tasty and piping hot (always a plus). My main course (risotto) was a very generous portion.

Everything was perfect the staff amazing and got the ramp ready wow so helpful !!! My parents and my son and hisgirlfriend first time in your restaurant they said wow amazing atmosphere and food wow thank you! Xx

Excellent food and service and also good value. However.....it was very noisy due to big birthday party with a DJ and loud socialising at an adjacent table. Difficult to hear my wife across the table.

We were very well looked after on a busy night but it was noisy to the point that it was difficult to have a conversation amongst ourselves. I’m sorry to say I didn’t enjoy the food I ordered: spoilt by some overpowering flavours in the sauce that should have been a bit subtler. The others had pizza and said they were excellent.

Booked a last minute table on-line and walked in at 7:15pm. Friendly staff guided me to my table for one in the bar area and was left to view the menu. I work away a lot and frequent many restaurants. Lovely surroundings, the food came, and it was fabulous and I will definitely be going back there in future. Very impressed, in fact booked a short break with the other half in Hexham and we’ll definitely be eating here one night.
