Found in the heart of historic Currie Barracks in Calgary, AB we have transformed the D4 Stables landmark into a unique collaboration restaurant. Nestled into our West wing we have Vaycay Brew Co brewing up unique, easy drinking beers, and our East is the home to Burwood Distillery focusing on craft made spirits like gins and whiskey using local ingredients like our Honey farms. In the middle we are Veranda, so whether you are in for a beer or cocktail we have them all, and produced on site! Our cuisine focuses on utilizing our collaborative partners brew and spirits into our dishes with our showcased Italian clay brick ovens on display for guests to watch their pizzas being cooked. Incredible events space, sprawling 200 seat south facing patio, gin distilling classes, tours and more. A quick 6 minutes from downtown Veranda is your hidden gem of Calgary. Very good “ house” red wine . I have enjoyed it in previous visits. Staff very friendly . Primary area for comfort and ambiance great for both low and high tables …. In the other hand , the hallway is cold removed from the vibe.

Great quality food. Highly recommend the tuna tataki and the beer cheese fries. Wife loved the olive and cheese plate as well. Definitely loud but could have also been all the Xmas parties. Great for groups, maybe not a first date. Would come again for sure!

Everything was superb except the the level of noise in the restaurant. The stereo music was way too loud and really suit the demographic. You had to shout to your friends to be heard across the table. Very warming and such a shame!

They seated us earlier than the rezzo which was nice, and the food and service was excellent!

As I have Food allergies, Gluten and Lactose, it would be a good idea for you to advertise this on your website. I and my friends are now actively looking for kitchens that have this option so that we can dine out without any “cross contaminations” of which I’ve had 2 since August…and I won’t go back to those establishments. Service, ambiance, food..very good. We ll be back. Lynda C

I’ve been to veranda many times as it’s a great in between place to meet between sour and north Calgary) It has never disappointed myself or my friends. It’s a fun place with good variety of both food and drinks. Always good service and love the sampling room and shop.
