Found in the heart of historic Currie Barracks in Calgary, AB we have transformed the D4 Stables landmark into a unique collaboration restaurant. Nestled into our West wing we have Vaycay Brew Co brewing up unique, easy drinking beers, and our East is the home to Burwood Distillery focusing on craft made spirits like gins and whiskey using local ingredients like our Honey farms. In the middle we are Veranda, so whether you are in for a beer or cocktail we have them all, and produced on site! Our cuisine focuses on utilizing our collaborative partners brew and spirits into our dishes with our showcased Italian clay brick ovens on display for guests to watch their pizzas being cooked. Incredible events space, sprawling 200 seat south facing patio, gin distilling classes, tours and more. A quick 6 minutes from downtown Veranda is your hidden gem of Calgary. As I have Food allergies, Gluten and Lactose, it would be a good idea for you to advertise this on your website. I and my friends are now actively looking for kitchens that have this option so that we can dine out without any “cross contaminations” of which I’ve had 2 since August…and I won’t go back to those establishments. Service, ambiance, food..very good. We ll be back. Lynda C

I’ve been to veranda many times as it’s a great in between place to meet between sour and north Calgary) It has never disappointed myself or my friends. It’s a fun place with good variety of both food and drinks. Always good service and love the sampling room and shop.

Always a safe bet for a nice meal out. We were able to secure a reservation at the last minute. Food was good. Drinks were great, as always. Dessert was yum.

It took way too long for our food to come out and by the time it did my fries weren’t hot.

The pizzas and appetizers were really good. The restaurant was very interesting as it used to be the old stables. However it was really loud and the service was a bit on the slow side.

We always enjoy coming to Veranda. The historical building is amazing, and the service is usually excellent, and they have great drinks and craft beers. Still, food is always a hit and miss. I had an excellent salmon, but the size of the portion was so small that it barely justified the price. My wife had the quesadilla, and that was impossible to eat, extremely greasy and tasteless. They need a serious re-evaluation of their menu.

What a great hidden gem. Cocktails were delicious and the steak was amazing! Everything was delicious. Can't wait till go back to try other dishes.

Had a great experience at Veranda. Service was friendly and prompt. Drinks and food were delicious. Purchased drinks for take-away and enjoyed those as well. Thank you for the great evening team!
