Located just over the bridge from Anna Maria Island and the famous Coquina Beach State Park, the hidden gem of Longboat Key is Ventura's Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar. You will find this friendly neighborhood gem tucked away in the corner at Whitney Plaza, a short drive from Sarasota and the Famous St. Armand's circle on the scenic Gulf of Mexico Drive. Ventura's is family-owned and operated, open for dinner seven nights a week. Join us before or after sunset, to enjoy homemade Italian dishes, hand-tossed pizzas, amazing deserts, a large selection of small vineyard wines, and a full bar to satisfy all your cravings. Indoor or waterfront al fresco dining is available. Private parties, wine tasting dinners, catering & special events are offered. Order ahead for full menu takeout and local delivery.

Excellent service, good food portions and delicious everything. We ordered and enjoyed ceasar salad, cheese pizza, penne ala vodka, rigatoni fra Diablo and bottle of pellegrino. Debbie the owner loves to cook and share her love of food with all. Highly recommend you give Ventura's Italian Kitchen a try. We'll be back for broccoli Rabe with sausage, grandma pizza, other entrées and more...

The Meatballs were absolutely great, our waiter Robbi was excellent as all the staff was very nice. Good food! Will def come back!

Staff was very polite. We heard great things about the pizza and should’ve stuck with that. The food was ok just did not knock our socks off

We had a great night at Ventura's! We had a very quiet table that overlooked a waterway, it was very serene, quiet and enjoyable. Our waiter, Robbie, was outstanding! He was very engaging, attentive and overall an excellent host for the night. We had six people in our party and everyone really enjoyed the meals, the appys were great and the drinks were top notch! Would highly recommend a visit here, its tucked away in a stirp mall out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the island. 5 Star for everything at Ventura's!

We haven't been here for a while, but I'm sorry we waited so long to get back. Authentic Italian food! The menu is extensive, and so is their wine list. 🍷 The food is FRESH and delicious. 😋 The staff is friendly and gives you a family-friendly feel. We didn't try the pizza, but we saw some as we were leaving. They looked and smelled delicious. We will definitely be back on our next visit to LBK.

Outstanding pizza…be sure to get “Grandmas pizza”…we’re from the NY area & have never had a pizza as great as this! (as long as you like thicker crust)…it’s large! The ONLY downside is that the bar area is very hot with the sun coming in…just needs a few shades on the windows, otherwise wonderful!!! You won’t be disappointed!

We (5) had a perfect Mother’s Day meal. The food, service and atmosphere were perfect for the celebration. Our 6 year old Grandson really enjoyed getting his own cheese pizza from the kids menu! Perfect👍
