Bath Spa Hotel’s Vellore Restaurant was once the magnificent ballroom of the original house, built in the 1800’s. It’s now an award-winning and elegant dining room with tranquil outdoor terrace. Our celebrated Executive Head Chef has created a stunning à la carte menu using the very best seasonal ingredients – a creative fusion of traditional and modern English cooking.
Offering a Tasting Menu and Chef’s Table Menu, you can also enjoy Lunch and Afternoon Tea in beautiful surrounds in this quiet and peaceful corner of Bath city centre.

The setting is beautiful. The former ballroom is grand, clean and gives great ambiance. The Maitre D was excellent- could not be more helpful. The food was largely good. Some very limp broccoli let it down but a beautifully cooked steak was very good. Other staff were a little slow to react. When I asked for port with my cheese the sommelier brought out dessert wine! In all an ok experience, but at £250 for two- I won’t rush back.

My wife and I had a lovely afternoon tea. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were lovely and so was the tea and coffee. The service was excellent.

We are staying for 2 nights at the hotel we had lunch when we arrived and were served by a very rude and arrogant matre d which took the edge of off our arrival as we had traveled from Eastbourne East Sussex we had also booked a table for dinner at 19:30 and unfortunately again served by the arrogant matre d and he was more rude to us at dinner,on the plus side the food was very good This person is certainly not an asset to this hotel and we have decided to cancel our dinner reservation for this evening and have chosen to dine elsewhere I did make a formal complaint to the duty manager but I don’t think it will make any difference He was still serving at Breakfast if you dine here you will know exactly who he is It’s a shame as the team of Chefs are very talented and this individual is undoubtedly harming their reputation I intend to take my complaint to a higher level We always choose a Macdonalds hotel wherever possible but won’t be Back to this one

Food was good but service was very poor. Had to call a server several times as we were not checked in on. The duty maitre d specifically had an attitude. We were also guests at the hotel.
