We are an authentic Italian wine café, proud to offer quality Sicilian wines and spuntini appetisers across the UK. In the spring of 2013 something extraordinary happened. Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. A daily occasion to share moments of happiness with friends and family. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. Since then, we have been working hard to ensure that our quality and tradition could flow from the bottles to the glass in your hand.

                                                                                                        The cheese board was nice, as a starter. The tuna bruschetta & tuna Caesar salad were very disappointing. The bruschetta was literally just 2 bits of toasted supermarket bread with tinned tuna & red onions on. The salad was a small plate of chopped iceberg or something similar, tasted very watery, with some bits of tinned tuna on. It said blue cheese dressing, but I couldn’t taste anything. My boyfriend said his lasagne was “OK”. The sharing tiramisu with Marsala wine was lovely, we enjoyed that. The restaurant is really nice, the service was good, we had a good time & didn’t want to complain about the food, as were on a date, but I think it could be a lot better. It wasn’t inedible, but in a city of great restaurants, we don’t feel like we want to return to this one. Sorry.

                                                                                                        The food was very good. The mushroom pasta was fantastic. The server was new but very attentive. Only downside was we were a bit pushed in the corner table. I think this place will be packed once the area is finished.

                                                                                                        Had a lovely meal here on Sunday for my partners birthday. Food was fantastic. Was very quiet possibly down to the area the restaurant is located in. The staff were extremely attentive. The chef even came out to say hello. Will definitely be back
