Vatutto is a family run restaurant, Owners Paul and Myrto Recinella moved from their 16 year Institution at Zios East Melbourne to the Ivanhoe location in 2015. A full renovation was completed recently creating a modern yetelegant atmosphere. Vatutto translates from Italian to ‘Everything goes’ the menu here has a diverse flavour selection from all corners of the earth. Produce here is sourced from premium suppliers, and we use sustainable seafood from Australian or New Zealand waters, Wagyu beef from Gippsland, organic eggs, fruit and vegetables, and quality imported cheese, dairy products and flour. Bread is baked daily and all desserts, pastries and ice cream are all made on the premises using quality ingredients.

Have been visiting Vatutto for many years and it’s always been great. An interesting menu with a broad choice to suit all. No matter what you choose it’s always fantastic. The owners input adds to what is always excellent service. No where better in the area if you want a quality dining experience.

We have been coming here for years and it's never disappointed. The food is always incredible, friendly service and priced fair for the quality of food.

The garlic bread was amazing. We ordered the pumpkin rice soup which was the right size portion for an entree and the cauliflower steak which could double as an entree or main depending on your appetite. I had the lamb and ratetoulli for my main and it was a very generous portion so I wouldn't order and entree next time or these sides: Brussels sprouts and chips in order to comfortably fit in the delectable dessert of a deconstructed lemon tart. The barramundi with asparagus and romesco sauce and zucchini chips were just as filling but again without the cauliflower steak and sides to fit in the dessert. We'll be back to try more dishes.

Got a blast from the concierge when I walked in and explained that one of our party had dropped out and we were only 3 instead of 4 people Said she could charge me and the conditions were in the fine print Set the tone for the night and turned a nice evening into something not so nice. Perhaps I should have called to let them know but perhaps that message could have been delivered in a better way. Food was average. Wouldn’t return. Whole thing left a bad taste
