Experience winter in style with Van Acre’s exclusive Igloo Experience. Our luxurious igloos offer an elevated atmosphere, complete with stylish finishes, cozy blankets and adjustable space heaters. Relax as our dedicated staff serves our full menu, perfect for lounge-style dining and craft cocktails. Join us for a memorable evening in Wausau’s most enchanting winter retreat. Reservations are available in 90 minute blocks with a $150 food and beverage minimum. A nonrefundable $100 deposit is required and will be credited to your food and beverage purchase. Single checks only and 18% gratuity will be automatically added. Maximum capacity of 8. For changes and cancellations, please contact the restaurant directly.

NYE dinner here was a fantastic choice. They had a specialty menu and everything was amazing. The service here is outstanding — they go above and beyond every time. Thank you VA for another great meal.

We had a great New Years Eve dinner in the igloo . The igloo was so cozy and decorated so well! The menu could’ve offered a few more entree selections but most of us ordered the recommended tomahawk pork chop which was outstanding! The food was so good and exceeded my expectations and the staff was extremely attentive and friendly and helpful! Pricey but worth it!

We had dinner here 3 days in row ! Each dish is so delicious and we wanted to try all their menu. So satisfying experience.

Fun place to have a drink and dinner. Just wish the food was a little better. The Pizza was doughy (under-cooked) , the burger and fries were one note taste. Very heavy and rich tasting. Almost as bad as overindulging in to much chocolate.

Everything was phenomenal! Our waitress was very prompt and knowledgeable. The drinks were amazing and the food was absolutely terrific! 10/10 recommend.

Excellent food and a nice little dining room to ourselves for a family holiday dinner. The small room made it much quieter. Fantastic service as well!

Had a phenomenal experience in the igloo this evening with my family, including my two small boys. I had dined here in an igloo a few weeks ago with my girlfriends, and there were a few minor things that I shared with a previous review. Management reached out, and after learning I was dining with them again, went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. I can’t thank the team enough for providing an unforgettable little experience for me and my family this time around. As always, the food was fantastic and the service was phenomenal.

We have made it tradition to do an Igloo Experience at Van Acre ever since they started doing them! It is always a lovely experience. The food is wonderful and the drinks are top notch. I do, however, feel that it seems more rushed every year as they are trying to squeeze in as many parties as possible. I don’t feel that the experience is what it used to be. I would love the ability to add on extra time for an increased reservation cost. That would be well worth it!

First time at Van Acre with my husband, it was a last minute date night and we were impressed. Ambience was good, nice customer service, a bit crowded the kind of person probably cause holiday season. I am but most important thing, we enjoyed our food. Will definitely go back
