This is our favorite restaurant in San Diego. The food is absolutely delicious. The service is impeccable. We have had the Seabass, the Gambas , the steak and the artichoke and so many other delicious menu items . The food is absolutely divine. So many combinations of flavors .

On a colleague's recommendation, we decided to try Valentina. My spouse and I are so glad we did because we had an amazing dining experience there! The food reminded us of our time in Barcelona and brought back a flood of fun memories of our travels. We shared the tomato bread, dates, steak tartar, croquetas, and patatas bravas. We enjoyed our meal with glasses of tempranillo, which paired perfectly with our food. Our meal ended with a shared slice of their delicious basque cake paired with a glass of Spanish sparkling wine and French press coffee. We couldn't have asked for a more lovely meal, and we thank Candance for her fantastic service. We can't wait to come back!

I can’t say enough about Valentina!! The food is always delicious and we love Candace, she is so warm and welcoming every time we come in!!!

The noise was uncomfortably loud - but my perception may be biased by my seniority. Food flavors were excellent but the food was generally tepid. The squid was a bit rubbery. The texture of the rice and seafood dish suggested that it might have been reheated. One drinking glass seemed to carry the flavors of an earlier drink. Service was solicitous if a bit slow. Despite the foregoing our overall impression was favorable and the prices were fair and in line with other establishments of similar polish and presentation.

What a great restaurant. We received GREAT service. Cavin our server paid attention to every detail and he knows his wine. We had a great Albariño bottle. The small plates are all sharable. The food is the star of the show. Don’t sleep on this place.

Fantastic food, service was top tier. Amazing amazing meal, the sashimi and steak were just incredible. The ambience was great for both friends and a date night. Loved it!

SALTED BUTTER is served at Valentina and we were surprised and pleased when our server told us this information. The outstanding thought process that has made Valentina an exceptional restaurant, should be enjoyed by all diners. In the over twenty years as an Open Table member, 70 plus years of age, and a retired Chef, I have not been totally amazed, impressed, and well fed as our Valentina dining experience. Valentina does everything outstanding and will not disappoint in any way. Valentina's curated cocktail selection, the Tapas, the complete dinners, the outstanding wine list that is expertly paired to the food choices that are well seasoned, and to a service staff that is not matched by any dining establishment in the San Diego area, and locations beyond, has my wife and I returning for our second visit this week.

This has been my go-to special occasion restaurant for several years and it gets better every time I go. This last visit was by far one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had this past year!

Was extremely disappointed with this return trip to Valentina… expected the noise (very lively) but not the poor service and the “minimalist” appetizers. We were attended relatively quickly, but after that, we never saw our waiter again. Food came out consistently, which was good, but as mentioned, the portions were not commensurate to the price, even for California… we sat at our table with empty wine glasses for 15+ mins, even after asking one of the bussers to get our waiter. To their credit, they comped us the two glasses of wine and called the following day to inquire about our satisfaction, but it was still a disappointing experience overall. We wont be returning…

Delicious! My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the food and ambiance was just perfect. Everything was delicious and inspired us in the kitchen when we got home today!
