Utter Waffle is an award-winning Brunch & Street Food restaurant, as seen on ITV News & Sunday Brunch!
Found opposite Brockwell Pk in Herne Hill, here at Utter Waffle we specialise in…you guessed it - waffles! But here’s the thing, try to forget everything you think you knew about the humble waffle, these are life-changing, and just as good eaten at breakfast, brunch or alongside a craft beer or wine for dinner! Think award-winning breakfast waffles, waffles stuffed with chorizo & mozzarella, or even a club waffle, stacked with fried chicken, bacon & bloody Mary relish...yeah baby! For those with a sweet tooth - fret not, we’re also the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards).

We pride ourselves on a super-inclusive menu. Co-owned by a coeliac, we are allergy specialists with 99% of our menu being suitable for coeliacs; plus we boast loads of vegetarian and vegan options too…really something for everybody!

We booked a table for 8 and it took a while before we were given water for the table and offered menus. In our round of drinks, 2 were forgotten about and our server asked us if we were “sure” - even though it was obvious that we were short. After ordering, it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive, again one meal had been forgotten and it arrived when the majority of our party were halfway through our food. We ordered the hash brown bricks, which weren’t in fact bricks but two triangle hash brown - wildly overpriced at £8.50 for what could’ve been made with freezer hash browns. To top it off, we felt rushed to finished out food and was told we only had the table for 90 minutes - we’d spent 45 minutes waiting! The portions (apart from the hash browns) were a good size and averagely flavoured - it was a shame the service was slow, we didn’t feel appreciated, and the descriptions on the meals were misleading.

Such a great find! The waffles were out of this world with amazing flavour combinations. Will definitly be back to try more options. Also, the halloumi fries were dynamite!!

I booked this neighbourhood restaurant for my daughter's 13th birthday and the girls had a lovely time and enjoyed their waffles very much! The staff were so genuine and friendly - it was a most enjoyable birthday treat. Only thing I'd say is I ordered The GOAT - absolutely delicious, but why only 3 quadrants? I would have thought there'd be 4 quadrants in a waffle maker? Only because it was yummy and I wanted that extra piece :)
