Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Balham restaurant in 2024, our second site after our Herne Hill baby! Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!
Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. For those with a sweet tooth - fret not as the desserts are pretty good too - (we're even the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards)), so there really is something for everyone!
We pride ourselves on a super-inclusive menu and ability to cater for those with dietary requirements; We're co-owned by a coeliac, don't handle any gluten on-site, plus we boast loads of vegetarian and vegan options too! So what are you waiting for!?

Delicious waffles with a variety of savoury and sweet options, and great for allergens / dietary requirements. Given the popularity, it can feel a bit crowded inside at peak times with the number of tables.

Exceptionally friendly staff, great food, look forward to going back — our booking was at 1:45, still busy but calmed down and didn’t feel rushed

Delicious waffles and lots of vegan options. Only complaint was the portion size was on the small side, particularly when we compared the vegan version to the non-vegan version. Busy place but staff were very friendly

We had a great time. I’m coeliac so it’s perfect for me. Lots of people having fun there. Food is gorgeous.

Great concept and lovely place, ideal for brunch or lunch. A good variety of options of savoury and sweet waffles and also some extra bits. Really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the overall time spent in the restaurant. Definitely recommended to book in advance; I believe they have a walk in system in place but the weekend is always extremely busy.

Had a really great experience! Took my partner out for lunch and as he is a coeliac it was the perfect spot but even for me who can eat gluten loved the food and wouldn’t have known any better. Highly recommend and the lady serving was very friendly and accommodating
