With a curated menu of elevated tailgate fare and an extensive bar program, Utopian Tailgate delivers high times, chill vibes, and an unforgettable experience where the party never ends... and neither do the views.

Perched high atop Piper's Alley, above world-famous comedy enclave The Second City, Utopian Tailgate is Chicago's best never-ending rooftop party. Super-sized Jenga, drinking games, disco dance party, and a whole lot more mix with elevated eats and whimsical whistle-wetters all year ‘round.

Reservations are encouraged, but we always accept walk-ins until we reach capacity. Reservations will be held for 15 minutes. We offer indoor and outdoor table reservations, as well as party booths (with minimum required spend). We're a 21+ venue.

I was slightly disappointed after waiting one hour for a chicken sandwich . I consider myself very understanding of low staffed dining rooftops and restaurants but this place must’ve had 6 clients at most. The bartender was on his phone a ton. Hope they figure to do better. Waitress was extremely sweet, love her! The sandwich was mid. 6.5/10

The food was mediocre. Nothing to talk about. Definitely nothing to rush back for overall very good experience. Good time with friends just to meet up were great. Drinks were drinks.

The mozzarella stick was my favorite ! The ambience was nice ! Loved the setting and the outside games ! Would definitely visit again when I’m in Chicago ! And then margaritas tasted like something !! After 2 I was good !

Great experience, wings were good. Nice little vibe ! I Definitely think when it comes to the most popular game “tic tac toe” one family shouldn’t be able to be on the game for over an HOUR. :)

We had to wait 35-45 mins past reservation time because it was overbooked, but we did manage to get seated. The server was nice and tentative. I feel the food and drinks was overpriced but we did have a good time.

It was an amazing place to eat and enjoy! The atmosphere was a vibe definitely! Food was so good! We had the bacon burger and the regular burger and they were both so good! The drinks were a bit pricey but it’s expected for the city but they were delicious! The games outdoors were free and fun to play! Definitely will be back and something to do as a date night or lunch date and/or with friends! Definitely a recommended.

Atmosphere, fully energetic, great way to hang out beautiful space however the waitress did take long time to check on us and it was not busy around afternoon.

The place is definitely a vibe for a date night or with friends. Good drinks, bar bits for food, great views and all the cool games. The DJ brings all the hits. A must go too...
