Uptown Sports Club has found its second life thanks to Aaron Franklin and a handful of friends united by their deep love for Austin. Same building. Same neighborhood. Same soul. Just thoughtfully reimagined for the East Austin of today.

We loved the atmosphere there, although it was REALLY loud. We love that it's locally owned. My only complaint is this. My friend and I both ordered the chicken with carrots and potatoes and it was SUPER salty. We both had a very hard time eating it. That's how salty it was. It seems like it was a seasoning, not just salt, as it was on the whole meal. I barely ate any of mine. On the upside, the burgers and fries were amazing and the gumbo was good. Definitely worth a try but if you're looking for conversation with a group, the noise level might inhibit that.

Server didn't bring an item we ordered, no big deal. I've ordered takeout multiple times so knew it was great food. Will sit outside next time cause the difference was night & day or as I said, like being at DA Club or the library. Extremely loud inside.

Gumbo, german style (with potato salad) instead of rice. A lousiana chef toaught me this at a gumbo cooking class, really good.

Y’all need table lamps for outside tables at night! We could barely see to order or eat. They have those touch lamps on Amazon for cheap! And they are cute! Y’all just need a few of those. Love you guys otherwise.

The ambiance was great when we arrived. Felt like we had arrived at a New Orleans sports bar. We were late for our reservation, but the staff got us back on the list quickly and we got sat. We started out with el jardinero and the uptown and both were excellent! Would get el jardinero again. The trout dip was amazing and we shared the bowl of gumbo, the wedge salad and the fried green tomato po-boy. No room for desert but the cobbler sounded outstanding. Definitely want to come back for a happy hour!

Charming! My family and I enjoyed a delicious lunch of sandwiches. I had the fried green tomato po boy with a side salad, and both were incredibly scrumptious. I have been doing a southern tour of fried green tomatoes this summer from Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas and I would say these were definitely in the top 3! My mom had the roast beef with potato salad and my dad had the club with gumbo and we were all very pleased with the portions and quality of the food. Our waiter was kind, knowledgeable and quite charming as well. Thank you for our football weekend Friday lunch experience. Go Horns!

We went for brunch and had a great time! Our servers were very nice and attentive. I got the steak and eggs and it was ok but the biscuits were sooo good!
