Upstairs at Landrace is a casual neighbourhood bar & bistro, our food is led by ingredients which are carefully sourced from local farms and market gardens, we work with producers who have a natural approach to growing and use regenerative, high welfare farming techniques. The menu regularly features handmade pasta, line-caught Cornish fish and meat from Haye Farm in Devon, and Huntsham Farm in Herefordshire.
You can join us for a quick plate of pasta at lunchtime or a longer celebratory meal with friends & family in the evening. Our menu changes regularly, you can find sample menus updated weekly on our website.

The wine/cider list changes regularly, focusing on small European growers and makers. All our wines have been made following low intervention organic/biodynamic practices. We also pour many local naturally made ciders and perrys. Our soft drinks are made in house showcasing seasonal cordials, and aperitif/digestif offerings can bookend your meal if desired.

Chef and Food Stylist Rosie MacKean celebrates her debut cookbook Good Time Cooking with a dinner Upstairs at Landrace. Good Time Cooking is a dinner party bible, with 20 foolproof, utterly divine menus designed to make hosting your nearest and dearest a dream come true. Rosie, a Bath native, and the Landrace team are cooking one of her favourite menus from the book, “The Bloody Nice Birthday One”. Books will be available to be purchased and signed on the night. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Unfortunately we cannot accommodate guests with allergy requirements for this event, where necessary we can make substitutes for vegetarian diners only.

Superb! Everything was absolutely first rate. The scallops were exquisite. The pudding was gorgeous. Even the bread was delicious! And the Limoncello Spritz was amazing

Lovely place - always wanted to try. It’s very expensive for such small portions so probably won’t return. Service was lovely though.

Really delicious innovative cooking using very fresh local ingredients. Changing interesting menu - it's the second time we've been and there were a whole load of new imaginative excellent dishes. Highly recommend.

Delicious, thoughtful, seasonal, perfectly executed food. Great, friendly service. The country sourdough served before the meal deserves a mention of its own, made from locally grown, specialty flours milled and baked in house. A must-visit when in Bath.

We loved our evening at Upstairs! Super friendly and welcoming team created a great atmosphere. Food was exceptional- interesting choices on the menu and fun to be sharing plates . Great flavours and quality . Dishes really captured the essence of summer.

First time and Landrace, but it won’t be our last! Honestly the tastiest meal we’ve had this year, including from much more expensive places. Very good service, great drinks service. Very pleasant, simple decor. Great views over Walcot Street! Absolutely nothing not to like!!!
