Every time I go to Uoichi, I think to myself, “I really should come here more often!” The food is always incredible and the service really friendly and prompt. We came for the lunch service which was bento only and the food was fresh and flavoursome. We had the mackerel and karage- both of which were melt-in-your-mouth good, accompanied with rice, miso, pickles and a small potato salad and leaf salad. Will be coming back as soon as I can!

We've been to Uoichi a few times for lunch and it's always excellent, definitely the best Japanese restaurant that we've tried in the Canary Wharf area. The lunch set menus are great (main dish with rice, miso soup, salad and pickles). Just need to make sure you book as it's a small restaurant

Exceptionally tasty and wonderful as always. Not only was the food of the highest quality, but all dishes came in record time.

*Vibe -Great ambience with energetic Japanese music. -The restaurant is not too loud but ppl can chat comfortably. *Food -Daily special set is delicious and worth of its price. -Tea, soy sauce, and wasabi tastes way better than other Japanese restaurants I've tried in London. -The restaurant specialise in seafood (i.e. sashimi) and meat. Not recommend for vegetarian and vegan.

Had a lovely experience visiting for a second time. Extremely fresh sashimi and really tasty dishes. Everything was fresh, expertly made, and brought to the table quickly. Delightful staff who are very friendly and helpful, taking care to explain the full menu without being imposing. Very attentive and made sure the experience was pleasant.

The menu descriptions were not exactly accurate. The food was average, portion sizes weren't great and the minimum spend seemed childish as well as the £30 no-show card input requirement upon booking a table. I noticed they turned a couple away when we arrived saying they had no space, when they had two tables free and no one really came in after us. Seems to me they only do bookings which is silly.

Wonderful Izakaya and the Sashimi/ Gyoza and Grills were were superb. The service was wonderful and so welcoming. Excellent all ways round and we will be back.
