Dined outside on a beautiful night. Restaurant very busy food and drinks a little slow coming out but definitely worth the wait

The restaurant was very busy. Unfortunately we waited an hour for our food. The kitchen appeared understaffed. . 2 people at our table ordered burgers one medium rare the other well done the orders were switched to wrong people in our party. 2 of us got half chicken which I thought would be fantastic. My serving was a small leg and wing with no white meat not a half chicken.My friend had the pork chop which was the best dish. Obviously I should have sent it back but it had been such a long wait I didn’t bother and the waiter never checked in after. Maybe it was a bad night but the kitchen should be consistent with portion size.

It was our 2nd time dining here and we found the food and service was great. The food does take a little while to come out but worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Was very impressed with the food at Union Straw! We had tuna tartare, burrata, mussels, all were quite good. The tuna was fresh and the garnishes were flavorful. The mussels had an interesting lemon curry broth which added a twist to the expected flavors. Our mains were good too, portion size was reasonable, so we did not feel overstuffed. I recommend this place for sure.

Great food and good service as we’ve come to expect. The past few visits, we’ve had to ask for silverware and wait 5-10 minutes after our meal is delivered. Seems like something that should be the responsibility of the hostess.

Liv the server was awesome!!!! Appetizers were great. Steak a little over cooked but still good. My husbands stir fry was over flavored —the staff was all about making it right though. Would definitely go again given the level of service

$12 for a beer? Then trying to slip by a $6 charge for still water? Waitresses are saying their manager is telling them to ask guests to give good ratings online? Way overcharging for decent food & drink with a below average experience. Not very crowded on a Saturday evening. Feels like this place is going downhill. We won’t be going back.

Hello Daniel, I would like to start with apologizing for the subpar experience during your last visit. We do offer bottle water, I need to do a better job with staff training on how to present that to guest. I can assure you the goal is not to slip by bottled water. The number one goal for us at all times is the guest experience, if you would be interested in providing more info regarding the food and drinks it would be helpful and welcomed.

It was our first time eating at this restaurant. We had a reservation for an outdoor table but decided to take the last two available seats at the bar. Bartender was a bit slow but in her defense, she was handling the bar alone. It’s very loud so I also think the bartender was having trouble hearing us. I ordered the chicken entree and my husband ordered the shrimp tacos. Both were delicious. Will go back.
