Had an amazing waitress who gave excellent service, foot was amazing and good prices, will be going back.

Everything was going well, food, service etc. Then when we ordered dessert, we waited over 40 minutes so we finally just left. The front of the house was kind enough to try and make it right so that was a good thing. It’s always a crap shoot to go out on Valentine’s Day, but for the most part, the meal was very good and our waitress was excellent. We will definitely give it another try on not so busy of a night.

The special was prime rib the night we were there. When I ordered the prime rib “medium” our server said we don’t get a choice. So I said I’d like it near the end cut. Well I got the actual end cut which was a very large block of inedible meat. Served with ranch dressing rather than horseradish. The server had a very large party in the back so I’m going to give her a pass for her lack of attention but I couldn’t believe someone in the kitchen actually thought that block of meat should leave the kitchen. We have eaten at Union Hotel many times and had wonderful meals but I will stick with my usual and order the braised short ribs. They’re fantastic!

It’s been a while since I’ve been here but was happy to come back. I had the clam steamer appetizer and it was fabulous! The atmosphere was very comfortable I’ll be back again!

Food was good, Prime Rib Special. The garlic mashed potatoes could have been a little warmer. Place was packed and they did an excellent job waiting on everyone (was told they were short handed). I’m sorry I did not get the name of the smiley girl that checked us in when we arrived and was doing 10 other things with a smile and a great personality! We sat in the patio area, which had heaters on the ceiling stayed pretty warm. They have a fireplace in there also.

Appetizers were sold out by 5:30pm. Food arrived cold and in some cases wrong. We had to beg for attention to get a second drink. What an absolute disappointment of a Christmas Eve meal.
