Union is the go-to gastro destination for foodies, romantics and families. Located on the waterfront in bustling Camana Bay, Union offers Cayman's finest selection of fresh fish and seafood, Angus steaks, grill classics, as well as a dedicated vegan menu. Union is a classic, lively bistro with a sophisticated flair. We source the finest quality Angus from the USA and grass-fed Angus cuts from New Zealand, as well as local line-caught snapper, tuna, wahoo and lobster.

Union is proud to announce that it won 'Best Restaurant' in The Cayman Islands at the 2022 Travel & Hospitality Awards in London, and has been nominated for 'Best Restaurant' in the 2024 World Culinary Awards.

Union also runs regular music nights with live jazz (Thurs), soul & blues (Sat and Sun), as well as our famous Cocktail Masterclass (Thurs/Fri/Sat).

Was there for a business dinner! Our experience was very good, the staff were all very attentative and accomodating. The food presentation and quality was great! Overall had a very nice dinner with great food and a good wine selection. I will go back for sure when I am back to Grand Cayman!

Menu limited. Expensive for size of portions. Ambiance was beautiful. My husband ordered lobster & I had mushroom rissoto. We had burrata for an appetizer & each had a glass of wine. We split a dessert that was delicious (banana pudding!) Ourbill was $220 for the 2 of us.

However, on this occassion, we wanted to point out factual errors contained in your review so as not to mislead other diners. We have on our Dinner Menu 12 different Appetizers and 19 Entrees (with 7 different steaks to choose from), as well as six desserts. We are happy that you enjoyed the food but wanted to point out that your total bill including 3 glasses of wine was actually 152USD plus 24.32 gratuities, plus a very generous tip from yourselves of 35.20 for, we assume, receiving exceptional service. Making your total bill 176.32USD.

We are regulars at Union but visited this time after a long period. The food was exceptionally good with new innovations. As always, service was really good. The cocktails were also great, In spite of there being live music, it was not loud . I cannot recommend Union highly enough. The owners are always there checking in with customers on how everything is.

I went there for the 2-4-1 steak night offer. I should probably try the place again on a different night before reviewing, but the steak wasn't the greatest. It's was a strip chosen from their list. I asked for med-rare, and it was rare with so many gristly bits. You know the chew where you could chew it forever, and then you either have to spit it out or just take one for the team and swallow. My dining companion also had the same issue. I found it bright for the type of moody atmosphere they're going for and diming the lights more would that. My favorite steak place closed, but I wouldn't go back to Union for the steak.

We are very upset that your dining experience was not perfect, and wholeheartedly apologise. We always recommend that you discuss any food quality issues with your server on the night you dine. Had you spoken with the server we could have cooked you a new steak, or even offered it to you complimentary. Steak Night is always very popular and we have sold over 3000 of these cuts since we opened. They are always well received, especially now that we buy grass-fed Angus from New Zealand. Sometimes a 'rogue' steak does slip through the net, which is why we do like to know on the night. We are Cayman's only independent fine-dining steak restaurant and have recently been accredited by the Certified Angus Beef organisation as a quality purveyor of steaks. We invite you to return and try us again.

One of my favourites on the island. I visit 4 times a year to see relatives and we always book our last night at Union. It’s so rare that a restaurant does everything so well, so graciously, and the steaks and fresh catch are outstanding. The menu is mainly gluten free so that suits my coeliac challenges. I’ve now booked for their Sunday brunch before we head home. This is a world class restaurant that always leaves us happy.

We ate dinner at Union Grill last night. Everything about it was perfect. Upon entry, they had live jazz playing. The decor and the vibe were sophisticated and sexy. Service was impeccable. The food was prepared to perfection and very tasty. I wish I could take this spot back to the States with me. Highly recommend. Highlight of our trip.

Last night, my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of dining at Union Grill and Bar, and we were absolutely impressed with the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a lovely evening out. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a modern yet cozy vibe that makes you feel instantly comfortable. We were seated promptly, and our server was attentive and friendly throughout the night. The food was simply outstanding. I opted for a dish that featured perfectly cooked filet mignon, tender and bursting with flavor. The sides were equally delightful, complementing the main dish perfectly. My girlfriend had the scallops, which were seared to perfection and accompanied by a delicious blend of flavors that left us wanting more. The presentation of the dishes was also top-notch, making the meal not only a treat for the taste buds but also a feast for the eyes. The wine selection was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the glass of red wine that paired wonderfully with our meal. The atmosphere was enhanced by the great company and the restaurant's relaxed yet elegant setting, making it a night to remember. Overall, Union Grill and Bar exceeded our expectations. It's a place where fine dining meets a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere, making it perfect for both special occasions and casual nights out. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!
