Servant de la cuisine fusion japonaise inventive en utilisant les fruits de mer du célèbre marché Tsukiji de Tokyo et des pêcheurs locaux de la Nouvelle-Angleterre, Uni puise aussi ses influences dans les rues de Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapour, Bangkok et du Bangladesh. Uni est l'évolution du bar à sashimi intime de Ken Oringer, du même nom, qui s'est élargi dans l'ancien espace Clio grâce au chef exécutif et partenaire Tony Messina, à sa tête depuis 2016.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Ouvert depuis 2002, l'Uni de Back Bay propose encore à ce jour certains des meilleurs fruits de mer de la ville, dont la plupart proviennent du célèbre marché de Tsukiji, à Tokyo. Le menu du célèbre chef Ken Oringer offre des plats savoureux comme l'uni spoon (uni accompagné de caviar et d'un œuf de caille) dans un espace élégant et animé au sein de l'hôtel Eliot, où chaque repas est vécu comme une occasion spéciale.

Went for my 50th birthday dinner. We all know this is one of the most expensive restaurants in Boston. But the service received was sub-par and the food took forever. Drinks were mediocre at best and the ambiance was crowded and it felt like there was nothing special about this restaurant. This isn’t the first time I’ve been to Uni, but probably the last. There’s so many great restaurants in Boston. Uni just hasn’t kept up.

The flavors are combined in such a unique way, all the seafood is so fresh and delicious. Anything with sea urchin is top notch. Good sake and nice cocktails.

It took more than 20 minutes to get our drinks, food took even longer. The “freshest and tastiest” and most expensive nigiri was awful, we couldn’t even eat it.

Uni is definitely not worth going to. For one the food is not great and in very small portions. The service is unprofessional and the prices are ridiculous.

The Spanish octopus had no flavor, seasoning ,or acidity.Also I did not taste black garlic . The worst dish was highest price.The chow fun was amazing texture taste and presentation. The dessert was lights out and fire 🔥! The service was impeccable. The short rib was very tastie but not sure if it was 12$ good... it is common in fine dinning to do odd numbers ... 3 would of been more adequate. Gorgeous ambiance.It is ashame the worst dish was most expensive.Overall very good experience and I will go again.

Food, drinks, and service is always top notch here. The only downside was they ran out of one of their cocktails! 😭😭😭😭
