The food was delicious and service was great! Cool new(ish) spot in river north! One thing I am confused about is why the coffee items are priced so high. I got iced americano which the ice was pretty much melted and got less than 12 oz of coffee. Same for iced latte. The coffee drinks were the only things on the menu priced confusingly high. Everything else however was great.

Fantastic choice for dinner for a special occasion. Delightful tortelloni antipasto, halibut and filetto. Beautifully plated.

Food was mediocre. Waitress not very knowledgeable or charismatic on what meals are appealing, but was nice. Staff was good at the basic things in clearing dishes, bringing the dishes out, and etc. But you can get basic at McDonald's or Cracker Barrel.

The prosciutto and burrata were amazing as well as the tortellini. The chicken was ok and by that point we didn’t need it. Drinks are awesome and the service was great.

Service really needs some work. Our drinks didn’t come out until after our apps and our server didn’t come to ask if we wanted more drinks until we were done with our meal. Servers kept also constantly trying to take our plates and food when we were clearly not done. Also $45 for the tiniest piece of halibut?? Makes no sense

The helper of the waiter was amazing. Very helpful and also excellent service. Our waiter was not that good, more in the vibes of what do you you want to drink and didn’t care about the food. The food quality was medium to bad. The drink also. The place is beautiful but more in mood a get drinks and easy food.

I was at Ummo once before and I had such a great experience I decided to come back to celebrate a friend's birthday. Te menu changed and may the chef as well because the quality and flavors are not the same and not that good anymore. We ordered tartar and returned because there was no taste. I ordered the asparagus risotto and it was super disappointing (before they had the mushrooms and was amazing). I don't recommend the place anymore.
