Ugly Duckling

Our tasting menu is an individualistic, seasonally-driven experience celebrating Vancouver Island and paying homage to our Chinatown home. The menu is constantly evolving --dictated by the seasons, the farmers, and the whims of the culinary team. While most dietary restrictions can be accommodated, due to the intimate nature of our kitchen, we are unable to fulfill requests for sesame, soy, or finfish allergies. For all other dietary restrictions, we request 48-hours advance notice so that we can prepare to welcome you. The tasting menu is 6-plus courses, priced at $112, and we encourage guests to set aside two-and-a-half hours to fully enjoy the experience.

Join Ugly Duckling for five straight days of New Year celebrations from December 27 -- December 31! This New Year's extravaganza will include 10 courses of exceptional Vancouver Island ingredients in innovative preparations from our award-winning culinary team.

Dine Around Victoria returns from January 24th to February 9th, and Ugly Duckling is celebrating the city's favourite foodie festival by transforming ourselves into Victoria's first (and only) Chinese roast duck house! For the uninitiated: Beijing roast duck is typically enjoyed as a multi-course experience, with different preparations of the duck enjoyed in each course. We're going all-out, putting our signature 'Ugly Duckling' spin on the whole experience; and presenting a three-course duck extravaganza that celebrates our namesake bird in a whole new light! *vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets accommodated with 48-hours notice.
